Summer vacation

The drive

I have been waiting for a month to see my boyfriend Shawn and today is finally the day I see him. We are going on a vacation to North Carolina and I cannot wait to have the best week of my life. I am currently sitting on the curb with my suitcases waiting for Shawn's car to come and pick me up. I feel butterflies in my stomach as every car comes past just waiting to see his handsome face. I keep on anxiously checking my phone and then looking up and down the street when suddenly a car start coming down. I hold my breathe crossing my fingers hoping it is Shawn. I squint my eyes trying to see if it is him but I couldn't see threw the tinted widows. The car starts to slow down and the car stops right next to me. I am still holding my breathe realising that Shawn is in this car. The car door opens and I fly off the curb when I see Shawn come out. We then hug and it felt like an hour. "Hi Megan I missed you so much" he says whispering into my ear. I feel his warm lips touch the edge of my ear. " Shawn I missed you too I am so happy to see you" I say hugging him tighter. "Are you ready to start our vacation Megan" he says breaking from the hug and going over to my luggage. "I cannot wait" I say grabbing my luggage with a big smile on my face. We put my luggage in the car with Shawn's and then we start our drive to North Carolina.

"So Megan we are stopping in Virginia to stay the night so we don't have to get to the beach at night time" he says driving away from my house. "Oh okay I am just so happy to get away from all the stress at home" I say laughing and he goes to hold my hand. "Shawn you are only driving with one hand oh my" I say laughing holding his hand tighter. We both laugh and talk for hours and it makes the ride feel like 20 minutes when it really was 3 hours. I look to my left as I see a sign saying welcome to Virginia. "We are here" I say with a huge smile. I am so exited and we are not even in North Carolina yet. We keep on driving until we see our hotel. It has a view of the beach right behind it and it is just amazing. We park the car and we check into the hotel. Once we get into our room we realise how big it really was. There was a deck to see the beach and there even was a hot tub. "This room is amazing" Shawn's says as he runs like a little kid at a candy store to the deck. We both run out to look at the beach. We see little kids running around in the water and we just see everyone having fun. Shawn looks at me with a big smile and puts his arm around me. He pulls me into and hug and kisses me. "I love you so much Megan" he says pulling me tighter to his body. "I love you too" I say wrapping my arms around his back. He then breaks the hug and run over to his suitcase. " What the heck are you doing" I say following him laughing. He then pulls out his swim suit and then he smirks and runs to the bathroom. I then laugh and grab my bikini and do a quick change into it before he comes out of the bathroom. The door then opens and I see Shawn in swim trunks. I can't stop staring at his muscular body. I then snap out of my trance and see that Shawn is staring at me with his mouth open. "Megan you look..... Beautiful" he says staring at me. " Shawn" I say as I feel my cheeks start to tint red. " are you ready to go to the beach" he says coming towards me grabbing my hand. " I am ready" I say as we both walk to leave our room and go to the beach.

I put my toes into the warm sand and it feels so relaxing. We then walk down to the water still holding hands.
I then dip my toe into the water and it was actually really warm. " is the water warm" Shawn says walking towards me. " yes actually" I say pulling him closer so he could come into the water. He then looks at me and kisses me on the lips. I then grab his hand and we run into the water. After we swam into the water we wrapped up in our towels and walked up and down the shore. "Megan the sunset is so pretty" Shawn says as I looked at this beautiful pink sunset running down the sky line. " we should take a picture" Shawn says running to set up his camera on a rock. " Shawn I am gonna look like a mess" I laugh. "Megan you look beautiful all the time" he says grabbing my arm pulling me to wear his camera was set up. Shawn then put his arm around my waist and smiled at the camera and I followed. We took so many pictures of us kissing, hugging, and even jumping pictures and they turned out beautiful. We then left the beach and walked to our hotel.

Once we got to our hotel I grabbed my pjs and changed into them. Shawn then followed but he just put on a pair of boxers. I then turn on the tv and dive into the bed. Shawn then comes in and pulls me tight right on to his chest. "I had the best night of my life Megan" he says to me kissing my head. I then put my hand on his sharp jaw and pull his head down to my lips. I then go in for a kiss and he responds. He runs his hands down my hair and all the way down to my lower back. I then grab at his back and grip his hair when he enters my mouth. "Shawn" I say whispering, " I love you" I say when he breaks off the kiss. "I love you too" Shawn says pulling me closer to him as I feel my eyelids getting heavy. "We are off to the beach tomorrow Megan" Shawn says laughing a little. " I cannot wait" i say snuggling my head into his chest sighing. The room went quiet and then I close my eyes dreaming about how our day will go tomorrow in North Carolina.
