Rain Dances and Curfew Runs

Am I dreaming? Is this all real? Did Ricardo just kiss me?! Millions of questions raced into my head.

"Ummm?" Ricardo said, snapping me out of my trance.

"Yea?" I said as I looked up at him.

"I'm sorry for that" he said as he rubbed the back of his neck.

"Don't be" I said as I held his hand in mine. It was a perfect fit. All was going great until the rain came down and soaked us wet. Instead of running for cover, the both of us danced in the rain like a pair of goofballs.

After what seemed like 20 minutes of getting ourselves soaked in rain, the two of us decided to get a little snack.

"What's your favorite show?" I asked him to break the silence.

"It has to be Suite Life on Deck" Ricardo said as he bit off a piece of his corndog.

"Hahaha. My favorite episode of that is when Cody and Bailey went out after curfew!" I said as I threw out my corndog stick. After what I said, Rico's eyes suddenly widened as he checked his watch. I got the message: We're almost late for curfew.

The two of us ran like we were being chased by a bunch of criminals. We ran past a ton of people as we rushed through the sidewalk along Ricardo's neighborhood.

We reached his front porch a minute before curfew. He opened the door and I watched him go inside. Seconds later, the door reopened and Ricardo stood there and gave me a hug.

"I love you, Jade Pettyjohn" Ricardo whispered in my ear.
