Everyone frantically scooped water into their mouths and hats and into the ocean. Air started to flow in all directions. The wind howled with laughter as the people in the boat worked very hard not to sink.
"I knew we were gonna die!" Luke cried. Valarie screamed as she was knocked out of the boat. The wind was so loud that nobody noticed or heard.
"Not again." Valarie groaned. She struggled to stay above water. There was nothing she could do. She would sink! Thinking fast, Valarie started to pry a loose board from the boat. She gripped at the board but it was slippery. Her fingers struggled to stay on the board. At the last moment, Valarie grabbed the sharp nails sticking out of the board.
The water coming from the sky was pressing hard on Valarie's head. She opened her mouth to drink. This might be the last drink she ever had. Could Valarie survive? Her hands were bleeding and her head hurt from the pressure of the water on her head. Valarie scolded herself. She needed to get through this. But..the rain. It was hard to breathe because of the thick rain.
Valarie tightened her grip to the nails. She could barely see two feet in from of her. She took her shirt and tried to tie it to the nails. It didn't work. Valarie tried sticking the nails through the shirt. It didn't help. Valarie closed her eyes. She knew what she had to do. But, she couldn't imagine the pain of it.
----------------------------------WARNING-This is going to be a little gross.------------------------------------ Valarie opened her right hand. Her palm was flat. She bit her lip and rammed her palm into the nail sticking out of the board. A shot of pain quickly sprinted up her arm. Valarie screamed. Her mouth filled with water. Valarie coughed with all her might. Why did she do that?
--------------Ok its over-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The pain was too much. Valarie was about to pass out. If she passed out, her hands would lose the board. And if she was asleep, she would drown. And nobody would ever find her dead body. Stupid! Stupid! Valarie thought. She screamed again. Her hand was hurting so bad she wanted to just let herself pass out.
It wouldn't be that bad. Valarie thought. Who would miss her anyway? Her parents? Yeah right! The only reason she got on the cruise in the first place was that she had earned money. Valarie had spent so much time at her work that she almost never saw her parents. Even though they were rich, they would never buy her anything she wanted.
She had only bought the cruise ticket as an act of rebellion. Now, if she died, she would never have to see her parents ever again. She thought of her bruises and scars. Valarie vowed she would never tell anyone how she got them. After all, she would be dead soon.
Valarie noticed the rain had died down. It was a peaceful drizzle. Too bad Valarie's hand was gushing blood. Valarie lifted her hand to take it out of the nail.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH" Valarie screamed. It hurt worse. She closed her eyes. Then she plunged herself into the water, board and all. Nobody would miss her so who would care if she was never found?
