The sun rises over a small town nestled in the bosom of the Carpathian mountains and hidden within the darkest forest known to man. In this region lies a little town called Stuttgart. This town has never known of any danger other then an occasional animal attack. This is the type of town that you'd see in some romance novel or a poster for traveling to a country. As the sun rises further over the trees the dew on the roofs and in the grass glistens. Then the birds begin their daily routine of waking the surrounding animals. Then come the squirrels who chatter and scurry along the branches of the trees. Then there comes a fog and this isn't the normal fog that you see in a city or a coastal town. This is the thick fog, not unlike that of a war, that many would see as a bad omen in older times and that would cause all the midwives to curse those that leave, and pray for their return. Yet even in the midst of this comes a traveler weary with the fatigue of one who has been on the road for the better part of a year. This traveler gets a room and causes the innkeeper to be on guard.

It started as a normal day for Derrick. He woke up got dressed brushed his teeth. With his books in hand Derrick left his house and went to the bus stop to wait for his bus. It was cold and gloomy but that's no real surprise seeing as how its the middle of March in Stuttgart. "Damn its cold how the hell do people expect us to wait in this weather." said Derrick.
"Oh its not that bad." exclaimed Cassie, Derrick's friend, who he has grown up with ever since third grade when he moved to Stuttgart. "Don't you remember January? it was twice as cold, and hell you were being stubborn as hell and didn't want to wear a coat for a whole week"
yeah i know but i was referring to the gloom more than the cold.
yeah i guess that makes sense, for someone like you at least.
whats that supposed to mean?
oh nothing." said Cassie as she flashed him one of her signature smiles
yeah whatever.
dont you dare do that to me
do what?" Derrick knew exactly what she meant because he never can stop thinking about it he was stuck thinking about why they had moved here. It had been seven years since the incident which his mother is too scarred and saddened to speak of. He had hoped that he would never be reminded of it by anyone but he had forgotten about Cassie.
Don't you fucking dare go into one of your silent brooding sessions.
I'm not, I'm just thinking.
Mmmhmm sure you are.
You know what screw you, you can go somewhere else Cassie." *screech skreet pssht* "Lets just get to school.
Fine Derrick we can go to school not like you actually care.
Shut up and get on the bus.
Fine
As they got on the bus they felt the fog creep in on them and block out all but the bus. from somewhere in the fog came a loud screech and a long drawn out wail like that of a wolf.
