Chp.1

Whoa.. I didnt fall asleep again did I? I take my phone out to check the time. "Holy shit it's 8 o'clock." I get up and start to pack my book bag when i notice.. Where is everyone? I mean, you'd think a library would have nerdy brainiacs stocking up on knowledge and what not but there aren't even any librarians. Mmmm. Whatever right? They're probably just on lunch break or something. I start making my way out when I notice one of book shelves and a few chairs knocked over. I totally decide to just leave it alone and act like it's none of my business but then i cant shake the feeling that something's off. I kind of want to take a look around but i'm pretty sure mom'll really kill me this time if im late again. I make my way out the building and start walking down the block to my usual bus stop. Its not far, maybe five, six blocks away. It's pretty cold out, I only brought my jacket though, it was a lot warmer this morning. I make it to my bus stop and its like a complete ghost town. At this point I'm getting seriously suspicious. All the way here not a single soul, not a single car...am i getting punk'd? I wait for about a good 20 minutes before i decide to just walk, man, it sucks not having a car. I'm finally 16 with nothing to drive, it's like waiting forever on line at mcdonalds, paying, and not getting anything to eat back.

Anyways, im walking and i decide to call my mom, let her know im on my way. I start dialing when i see that there isn't any service, that's pretty weird to me cuz i live in the city. When is there ever not any service here? Great, so now im probably gonna be late because of the god damn bus and my mom is gonna start lecturing me about how irresponsible i am, and why didnt you call, and yadda yadda yadda. Just an earful of stuff that no kid really wants hear. I turn my phone off since theres no real sense in keeping it on, wasting battery life. But then i start to think to myself, isn't this weird? I mean, theres absolutely no one around. When the fuck does that ever happen, i mean, seriously. Then i hear in the distance, someone yelling...my name?

"JACOB!"

I turn around and see a girl a few blocks back running full speed towards me. Her clothes have blood stains and it's in tatters. She starts to yell out to me "THEY'RE COMM-" when out of no where, a full heard of....of THINGS start to pull up behind her, chasing her, WANTING her. They look like people but very, VERY, sick people. I look at her face and it's so full of terror. Then I realize...that it's Janice! Isnt she the straight A student from my physics class? She's yelling at me "GO, GO, GO!!!" It looked like something out of a horror movie, it seemed surreal. At this moment I'm paralyzed, I can't think straight and I'm suddenly under a ridiculous amount of panic. I try to move but I just can't. Janice catches up to me and grabs me by the hand and we start running, running like mad men. Where? I have no fucking clue.

Chp. 2

We just ran and ran and ran until Janice led me to this abandoned building where we could take cover. We locked and barricaded the double metal doors behind us. We turned the light switch on and just fell onto the floor from exhaustion. We were both heavily panting. God knows how long we ran for. Then my mind started to race with all kinds of questions that i didnt want the answers to. "Ok, you need to tell me, what the FUCK is going on?!" I screamed. "Who the FUCK were those people and why the FUCK were they after you?! Because is it just me or did they not look completely out of their fucking minds? My god, and where the hell is everybody, I've been losing half my min-"

"LISTEN to me jacob. Keep your voice DOWN. We don't want to alert anymore of those things, they will kill us. Do you understand that? We need to get out of here, this place isn't safe-"

"Well it sure as hell isn't any safer out there."

"Yea, well probably not for long, okay. They'll find us eventually. And as for your questions, hold on to them until later, we need to think of a way out the city."
