May be we Were Meant To Be?

Nihal's POV

Soon I was busy with my class work. "Hi Nihal " I looked up at the person and it was Kavya. She and I are from same house(yellow) so, I know her pretty well. "Hey" I smiled at her.

"Nihal,I have something important to tell you."

"Go on"

"Actually I need your help"

"Oh sure! Tell me how can help you"

"Today is woman's day. You are aware of that right?"

"Ofcourse. But what am I supposed to do with that"

"You actually need to present speech regarding the topic. It would help our house score points "

"I would've helped you but I'm caught up with this class stuff."

"Can't you just delay the classwork for sometime. Actually Saha is preparing to deliver the speech but she's got some other work to do as well. It would be really helpful if you take this responsibility"

"Saha? Who's she?" I never even heard her name not even once.

"How does it matter to you? Anyways she is one of my classmates and she belongs to yellow house like us. Can you help with the speech please,I'm getting late"

"Ok,I'll see but I can't promise you though."

"Fine,I'll send the papers that contain information about woman's day" She walked away very fastly, before hearing my response atleast. If I'm supposed to deliver the speech I should go and get the papers my self. Manners right? But before me asking any questions she left. I don't even know who is Saha. It's better to wait. But how long? I returned back to my work and was lost, 5 min later I heard someone calling me by my name. I usually get frustrated when someone interrupts me, so with an irritated expression on my face I shifted my gaze towards her. Oops! Calm down Nihal how can you react harshly to a girl that too she's a stranger. I thought to myself. I guess she's Saha the girl about whom Kavya was speaking before. I never noticed her not even once. May she's is a new admission this year. I was about to say something then she continued "You are to deliver the speech today right? Here are the papers,Kavya asked me to give these to you".

"Oh yeah,but I didn't confirm back then,I said I'll try. I'm quite busy now inform her that I'll not be delivering the speech" I know that was not a responsible act,but how can prepare my speech in less than 5 min? It's better to deny the work than mess it up!
Thinking so I returned back to my work. But I could see from the corner of my eye that she was still standing there. I guess my reply pissed her off. Then I  heard the prayer bell. She was startled by the bell and started rushing outside the classroom. She's beautiful!  Wait! What!? What's wrong with you Nihal. You never thought of a girl like this before. She's nothing special.she's also similar to rest of the students. I convinced myself though my inner voice screamed 'no stupid she's not'.
