KIDNAPPED PT 2?

Kidnapped PT 2 Chapter 9

*Alex POV*

I sit in the waiting room with Leslie and Jess by my side. We have been waiting for 20 minutes for the detective to come and speak to us. I am getting very anxious. I feel very frustrated. Its been a couple days since Mary went missing. 

We decided not to inform our parents until we have more news than"she's missing and we dont know anything."

"I apologize for the wait, please come in," the detective is standing at his door, poking his head signaling us to come in.  We step in and take a seat. He sits in front of us and has a weary look on his face. He has graying hair and wrinkles on his forehead yet look like he's young. His desk is cluttered with papers and folders but i see he has Mary's missing person flyer along with the other two people that are missing. 

"I..um..I'm afraid i don't have good news," he starts, "We have recovered some footage that I am going to show you in hopes that you can help us." He proceeds to turn his computer screen facing us. A video is on pause and its in a parking lot. There is nothing there but a black car. Its night time. The time says 9:27pm.  "I warn you, its graphic, i wouldn't show it to you if it wasn't necessary. Please prepare yourselves. Your sister is in the footage. She is hurt, that is all we know. We are working on getting more footage. We need to know if you can help us identify who she is with."

My heart is pounding, i feel it in my ears. My eyes are threatening to spill more tears if that's even possible at this point. She is hurt! My baby sister is hurt and missing. How could this be happening again? 

He plays the video and a couple minutes later from the bottom corner of the camera we see her. 

"Oh, God!" Leslie cries. Mary, being pushed by a man in a long coat. He pushes her, holding her by one arm, Mary's other arm in mid-air as if to say she won't try anything. They make it to the car and he shoves her in. He starts to do something to her and we see Mary give him a good kick. We stare at the screen as Mary jumps out of the car and starts running across the parking lot. She is halfway there when she stops, the man holding the gun aimed at her. 

"Oh my God! oh my God! Oh my God!" I cry. I cant breathe. He shot her! I stand up from my chair and watch as she falls to her knees, her face struck with terror as she looks down at her bloody shirt. She falls face first into the pavement and the man, once he reaches her begins to drag her back to the car. Placing her in the car again, and tying her. Then he gets in the car and drives off.

I feel dizzy, the room is spinning, i feel like i am going to pass out. I feel vomit rising to my throat and sure enough 2 seconds later i am standing over a trashcan. Once i finish, i turn around not knowing what to do. This has to be a dream. I have to wake up soon. Jess is still sitting in her chair staring at the screen, her hands covering her  mouth. Leslie has tears streaming down her face,  gripping the sides of her chair, her eyes shut tight. 

"I'm sorry, i know this is tough for you but we need your help, we need to know if you can recognize this man" The detective turns the screen back to face him and starts to type in the keyboard. He turns the screen back around and the man's face is zoomed in to when he was walking towards Mary to pick her up. I stare at the screen, looking at this man's face. his face is old. The picture quality is a little blurry, sort of pixelated but we can still tell his facial features. He has huge bags under his eyes. He is wearing a hat so we can't really see his hair. He has thin lips and a long nose. 

I have never seen him in my life. 

I begin to shake my head, "I've never seen him! I've never seen him. Oh God, Please, please tell me you have!" I shout looking at Jess and Leslie. They slowly start to shake their heads. They haven't seen him either.

"We tried to follow the car but we lost it due to the lack of cameras. The tags don't belong to the car. They belong to a car that was reported stolen a couple weeks ago." the detective says. "We found footage of the other two that have been kidnapped. We have concluded it is the same man. Just as violent kidnappings. We are waiting for the families of the teens to come in to see if they can help us identify this man. We have posters being made and they will be put out all over the city and neighboring cities as well. We will find this man."

"What if she's dead," Leslie cries, "My sister, oh god, i can't do this, what if she's dead, what if he killed her?!" 

"We have checked hospitals in the area, no Jane Does have been brought in and no one by her name or description, that doesn't necessarily mean she is dead," the detective says, "He could have medical background, we don't know. Let's not jump to the worst case scenario."

"What are we going to do?" I ask, how are we going to find this man? 

" I am going to speak to the other families. We have officers at all the scenes of the crimes looking for anything. Interviewing possible witnesses, reviewing cameras, I assure you, we are doing everything we can to find her and the rest. I urge you to stay as calm as possible, any thing you might remember let us know immediately. Continue your search groups." He stands up and hands Jess a card.

"Call me if you have any info you think is helpful. Anything she might've said. The smallest thing could be the break we need, keep your hopes up, I personally, have a feeling she is alive." He walks to the door and opens it signaling that its time for us to go, " i don't mean to rush you out but i do have to get back to working on this case. Time is crucial." 

We step back out into the waiting room and thank the detective for everything he has done. I hope they can find this man soon, before he does nay thing worse. 

Outside, we stand at Leslie's car. Silent. We are all in shock. Leslie sobs, and takes her keys out. Before she opens the door she looks up at Jess and i and shakes her head.

"I think its time we call our parents." 

A/N: I have no idea where I am going with this so bare with me :P I am trying to make it as interesting as possible & trying to figure out how i can tie it to the original Kidnapped.  Please Vote and comment letting me know what you think so far! :)
