Chapter song - People Disappear All the Time //Bear McCreary
Outlander fanfiction
Prologue
There's something about the way your homeland shapes you, each part of it curling around the tendrils of your heart, twisting and winding in all of your veins taking its form inside your soul. It's even more captivating to see it once again after leaving it behind as it never truly changes it stays the same and you start return to normal. Although sometimes it no longer becomes your home as even the look of it sends you in to deep oblivions of regret and sorrow. Making your time there only more black and miserable and even with the upmost distractions it's never enough you'll only want more. You may find that your desires that drag you to difficult choices have but one effect on your life but in the end your heart takes control and lights the way to the one true desire. This is when you'll feel it your heart will be entirely whole and all the broken pieces will finally fit your broken puzzle. And finally that piece of true love will be found which will last a lifetime.
Druids. For some the word is nothing, like a voice carried off like leaves in a summers breeze, but for many others the word strikes a cold hard fear into their deep black hearts. For some it becomes a poison strong enough to make them condemn any man, woman and child for having even danced under a moonlit sky. Christians and protestants red hot hat lingers on each other but against all odds they both still choose to destroy the culture, they call it witchcraft, the work of Satan itself but really it has nothing to do with demons magic or even the devil. The practice of the druids is ancient and if they looked back long enough the Scots would realise that nearly every one of them comes from a Druid past. Druids don't worship god or the gods, they are simple people that care, live and thrive off of the nature and everything is all returned back to Mother Nature by summonings and and animal sacrifices. I lived my entire life taught these ways, never before were my people and my family was never threatened but as the time passed the danger has grown and the comings and goings of visitors made us more guarded and vulnerable we may not have long left........
Well that's the beginning of our tale, to be honest I'm probably only speaking to myself here lol xx
