"Write a poem, a poem, a poem for me!"
You say, but it doesn't come that easily.
A poem is not just a jumble of words
That sound good together. This may sound absurd,
But a poem doesn't always have rhythm or rhyme.
It doesn't just come around any time.
A poem for me comes from the depths of my brain
But I couldn't hand that in, or I'd sound insane.
A poem is feelings, thoughts, and emotions.
It's unexplored regions and unexplained notions.
They come from the deepest depths of your heart.
It's a way of expressing yourself; it's an art.
They're unique, handwritten creativity,
Not Times New Roman uniformity.
The sentences might seem just senseless to some,
But some might not see where the feelings come from.
For me, a poem is not something to share,
And being forced to write one just doesn't seem fair.
But now here I sit, writing a poem for you,
Because that is what I'm told I must do.
