-Mike's Point of View-
I was in my car headed to Amy's house for our date tonight. I have been driving for 10 minutes now and just barely reached her house. I parked the car and headed to the door, and when I knocked the door opened and there she stood. She wore a beautiful dark blue sparkly dress.
I managed to say "You look beautiful"
I looked at her and saw her smile get really big as she said "Thanks"
She walked out and we headed to my car.
"I got movie tickets. Is that OK?" I asked her.
She nodded and got in the car.
*****20 MINUTES LATER********
I parked the car and we headed inside the movie theater.
"Do you want popcorn or anything?" I asked.
"Ummm popcorn and soda?"
"OK, let's go get 'em."
We walked up and I ordered 2 medium sodas and a large popcorn and went to find our seats in the theater.
"Where do you want to sit?" I asked.
"Anywhere except the front if that's OK." Amy replied.
I walked to the back and chose a spot. About half-way through the movie Amy grabs my hand and says "I'm sorry but I just realized that my dad will kill me if he finds out I'm dating someone"
"Then why'd you agree to this date?"
"Cause I really like you." She replied.
"Talk to your dad and let me know. I'd love to continue going out with you"
*******30 MINUTES LATER********
We left the movies and headed back to Amy's house. When we got there I got out and walked her to her door and before I could stop myself I leaned in and kissed her.
Her dad came out and said "AMY!!! GET INSIDE NOW!!!"
"Sorry, I have to go" She said as she rushed inside.
Her dad slammed the door in my face and I started heading towards my car.
As I was walking to my car her dad came out carrying a butcher knife. He was running at full speed towards me. I was trying to start the car but it wouldn't start. I was terrified. I realized one thing. He was going to kill me.
Amy came running out scared and yelled "DAD!! DON'T HURT HIM!!"
He didn't listen so she jumped on top of her father and he flung her to the ground. He heard her hit the ground and he immediately dropped the knife and kneeled next to her.
"I'm sorry" He said, but Amy didn't care. She was mad at her dad for what he tried to do.
She grabbed the knife and used it to stab her father.
All I could do was sit there and stare at her dad, just lying there, helpless.
I called 911 and they took her dad to the hospital.
"I'm so sorry Amy"
"It's not your fault" She replied. "Can you drive me to the hospital please ?"
"Yeah, of course."
I helped her into my car and we drove to the hospital.
