It all started when I met Kate in High School. Nobody then knew anything about her talent. I even remember when I first brought her to acting class. She was a shy 15 year old girl who just did the first step to come out of her comfort zone. It's not that she's a quite girl who studies 24/7 and never speaks out for her. In contrary if you get to know her she's a funny, uncomplicated and most of all talkative person. I think she just needs some time to open up to strangers. So if you ever get the chance to meet my lovely friend, give her some time to get used to your presence. I promise it'll be worth it. But coming back to acting class! If I'm honest, I really talked Kate into taking acting classes. To that very day I'm still not 100 percent sure if she truly wanted to take that class or if she only did that out of courtesy. Maybe she already knew by then that we are going to be good friends someday and she just wanted to fasten things up a bit. So anyways back to her talent. It has nothing to do with acting, actually. I'm not saying she's bad at it, on the other hand! She was a pretty convenient man on that play back then! Couldn't have done it better. I'm really never coming to the point am I? So during that said play there was a scene where one of the girls from our class is singing a song called 'smile'. This song was stuck in our heads for like forever! No, honestly it's still stuck in my head now, six years later and I still know every verse!
So one night we slept at school because we rehearsed till 11 pm. Yes we were drunk that night and yes we were singing that song over and over again. I sounded terribly bad but Kate's voice has been amazing. I even noticed her talent in my state of drunkness. By that moment I knew she's going to be big someday and look where we are standing now, six years later, we are at the beginning of a world wide tour. The journey of Kate and Marlene hasn't even begun and it's already an adventure.
