I waited impatiently for Rocky to knock on the door. Ross said he would take care of telling people, but I wanted to tell Rocky myself. Not to mention Ross thought Rocky might kill him.
I was terrified and also a little excited, I had no idea what to expect from Rocky. Not with something like this.
Finally I heard a knock at the door and I practically ran to it. I opened it up to see Rocky closing his phone as I did.
"Hey," I pulled him inside and closed the door,"I've barely seen you, I was getting worried." He wrapped his arms around me,"Is everything okay?"
I nodded,"Yeah I just needed to talk to you about something."
"...okay." He said, knowing I was serious. We didn't have a lot of serious talks, but when we did they got intense.
I brought him to the couch and we sat side by side. I turned my body to face him,"Okay so this um...its not easy to say so I'm just gonna come out with it. And I don't want you to freak out."
He looked at me for a few seconds before nodding,"Alright."
I swallowed my fear and just came out with it,"I'm pregnant."
He looked at me again for a while, most likely seeing if I was joking or not. Once he realized I was serious he spoke again,"So last week when you were sick..."
I nodded,"Morning sickness."
I could see him trying to process it,"A-are you okay? Did you go to a doctor?"
"I went to the doctor a couple of weeks ago and everything is fine." I assured him.
Then came the mood changer,"Who's the father?" He asked.
I licked my lips and took a deep breath,"Okay this is where you can't freak out."
He looked at me silently and waited for me to answer.
"It's Ross."
Silence filled the apartment for a good 5 seconds before Rocky burst out laughing. I was confused at first, but I could see how he found this humorous. He knew how much I despised Ross, and the first time I give him a chance and I'm nice to him, I get pregnant with his child.
"It's your fault." I said.
He was still laughing,"How the hell is it my fault, I didn't get you pregnant."
"But you left me alone with him that night!"
He leaned back and wiped tears from his eyes as his laughter died down,"Oh god I'm sorry," he said through a few more laughs,"But I told you if you gave him a chance you'd love him."
I immediately corrected him,"I do not love him, however I don't hate him...as much. I will admit he can be nice when he's not being an idiot."
He let out a sigh,"So how is this gonna work? What's gonna happen?"
I leaned back and shrugged,"I have no idea."
"Just be nice." He smirked.
I rolled my eyes,"I'm always nice."
"Mmhmm."
He chuckled before he turned serious,"Are you gonna keep it?"
"No," I answered, maybe a little too quickly. But I didn't have to think about it. I couldn't raise a baby, I definitely wasn't going to do it with Ross,"No I can't be a mother." I said shaking my head.
Rocky wrapped his arm around me and pulled me into him,"It'll be okay." He assured me.
I trusted his words, and I was relieved it went as well as it did. Telling Rocky was just another thing I over thought. He was right, Ross was right. And I needed to stop being so stubborn. Everything would be okay in the end. I hope.
