If I were to describe my life, I would use the word sullen. My mum was crestfallen and desolate, while my dad was livid and abusive. The perfect relationship don't you think? Depressed and furious go together tremendously. Blah, blah, blah, and some time later, they made me. A miserable and sullen child.

The combination of my parents personalities made me be born with two of my emotions dominate. Unhappiness and anger, or sad and mad if you prefer.

Anyways, six months after my seventeenth birthday, my parents got into a bad argument. Now, they had gotten into some bad fights, but none of them had ended quite like this. It had to be past eleven o'clock and they were in the kitchen, talking about how they were going to pay the rent like usual. By the time I was six, I had gotten used to falling asleep to their whisper-shouts and figured it was a normal day.

When I woke up to actual yelling, it was such a rarity that I knew something was wrong. My ears heard my mum scream, my brain whispered to stay still, my heart screamed to run into the kitchen, but my feet refused to move. My body finally worked together when my bloody murder could be heard throughout our apartment. I half tripped on my carpet when I struggled to get out of my room and to the kitchen.

I ran into the kitchen to see my mom facedown on the floor, the back of her head bloody. My father turned around and yelled at me. "Well, are you just going to stand there, Daniel? Get the God damned keys!"

I don't remember much after that, and remember much of my father's story either. Pretty much all I remember is my dad basically getting away with murdering my mom.

Three years later, I couldn't handle being in the same house as a killer. I had started saving money since the death of my mum and finally moved out. It's been three years after I moved out, and that brings us to now.

The sixth year anniversary of my mums death.
