Before all, I wanted the word dearest written the way I did. So, it is not an error.

I also dedicate this story to KaedeL ! My very best friend and the mind behind this idea!

Caleb POV

I huffed and stormed out of my house. I continued to walk away rapidly as she followed me from behind.

At a time like this, I wished I was born deaf.

"Listen to me! You can't ignore me for the rest of your life!" she screamed and reached out for me, but I snarled at her making her flinch and step back.

Sadly, she recovered from her shock and glared at me. At turned my back to her again, before walking away as fast as possible.

I showed her a smile and a little of attention and she got ideas all over her head. Unbelievable! I couldn't even believe how my parents tolerated her whining and pointless rambling. She didn't stop talking about being my mate knowing full she wasn't. She was even stalking me, sending me love letters, trying to seduce me...

"Caleb, please listen to me..." she pleaded, but I still ignored her. How many would I have to tell her that no, I would not mate with her? "CALEB!" she screeched making me cringe before changing into my wolf form and ran away not able to hear her annoying voice again.

I ran as fast as I could into the forest, not really caring where I was going. My main goal, for now, was getting as far away from that girl and her endless talking and flirting.

When I was sure she wasn't following me anymore I slowly changed my pace to a slow throttle before stopping completely looking around me. Fortunately, I was still inside our pack territory. Starting to walk again and finally having some silence, I sniffed the air.

It was a good day to hunt, the air was still heavy with humidity and some other mouthwatering smell. It just stopped raining this morning, so the deer should come out and eat some fresh grass.

Then my stomach rumbled loudly making me groan. I skipped breakfast thanks to my stalker and I was famished.

Walking through the wood, I reached the lake. Sitting down, I leaned down before taking a few laps of water.

Suddenly, I heard something, so I stopped moving while listening closely.

I slowly walked toward the sound, careful to not make a sound. As I slowly approached, a smell hit me. I nearly purred, it smelled so good, so sweet. Finally, I could see a deer. He was eating without a care in the world.

It was just my luck, even if the deer wasn't very big, it would be enough for me. But, at the same time, I didn't want to eat him...

I crouched down and walked closer and closer. When I accidentally walked on a small branch, his head snapped up, and his nose started to twitch.

I could see his muscles tensing ready to run away.

As I was going to pounce, I heard something that made my hunger disappear and groaned.

"CALEB!" she shouted again making the deer immediately ran away and so the sweet smell.

Before I could chase after it, she already grabbed my neck. No matter how much I tried to shake her off, she held tight.
