I hate everyone! How can humans be so heartless. I sometimes wish I could rip their throats out, with my teeth! Ugh, I hate life!
I love going out to the preserve, it's my escape. No people to bother me, and I can be myself. It's quiet, peaceful, and it's perfect to go at night.
I see a bright light, and turn to see a flashlight. I duck behind a tree and peek out to see what was going on, I eavesdrop too.
"Nothing yet. We still can't find the other half." I hear someone say, the cops. Great, people.
I hear them coming closer to I move away quietly. I hear more voices, but not the cops.
"Hurry up, guys!" I hear some guy whisper shout. His voice sounds familiar. I ignore it and keep moving. I look behind me to see how far away I am.
I still feel them close to me but I can't see them. I end up running and not looking where I'm going, until I find myself in the middle of nowhere.
"Well, this is unfortunate." I mumble to myself. I do that a lot, talk to myself, I'm my own best friend.
I look around, trying to find where I am, I've never been to this part of the preserve before.
"I'm just going to take a moment to admire my stupidity." I say sarcastically to myself. I hear a twig snap from behind me and I whip my head around.
I see nothing. Must have been my imagination. I stand there and look around still, not knowing where to go. I hear shuffling in the bushes.
"Who's there?" I shout, but yet again, nothing. I shrug my shoulders thinking 'that's weird.'
I sigh and start walking. I stop when I see two glowing, red eyes staring at me up ahead. I turn around and run as fast as my legs would carry me.
I feel something sink into my leg. I scream in pain and fall to the ground. Something starts to drag me and I claw at the ground, scared out of my freaking mind!
I feel the animal let go, and I sit up and look around. But whatever it was, it's long gone. I look at my leg and clutch it tightly, trying to stop the blood.
I start to panic, feeling I won't be able to walk home.
"Need some help?" I hear someone ask me. I look up and see a girl that I recognize, I think her name is Violet.
"Yeah, thanks." I smile as she heaves me up. She wraps my arm around her shoulder and we start to walk.
"You ok?" She asks and looks at my leg. "Take this, it'll help." She said and hands me a talisman looking thing.
"Uh, thanks?" I say, not knowing what this will really do for me.
"No problem. Here." She says and helps me to my car. I thank her as she helps me in my driver seat.
"Wanna ride home?" I ask trying to be polite. She shakes her head.
"Nah, I'm good." She smiles and walks off. I start my car and start to drive. I get to my house and go through the front door.
I put a hand to my forehead when I realize I have school tomorrow. This is perfect, no sleep for me.
I go up to my room and flip onto my bed. I go into my phone and go on my favorite drawing app. If I won't get sleep, why not do something productive?
I go look back at the rude comments that were said about me on social media. I feel a tear drop down my cheek when I see the boy I used to have a crush on saying horrible stuff about me.
I turn my phone off and shove me face into my pillow and cry. This is why I hate people. I turn off my light and cry in the darkness.
I feel a light turn on and I open my eyes. It's my mom. "Sweetheart, get up, time for school." She says. I look up at her with my red puffy eyes.
"Can I please stay home?" I pull the covers back over my head.
"Sorry, sweetie." She sighs and rubs my hair. "I'll make you a great breakfast." She says and goes downstairs.
I go to my closet and look at my clothes, not that many options. I want to look good today, to make people think about me for once in a good way. I smirk at the thought.
I grab out my cheetah print crop top. Then I get out my tightest ripped jeans I have. I put on black leather combat boots, and a black leather jacket. I grab my purse and sit at my vanity mirror.
I let my hair loose, my thin locks of golden hair loose around my shoulder. I put on my black mascara with tints of red to bring out my green eyes.
I put on gold eyeshadow and light blush. Then I put on a light lipstick shade to bring out my pale skin.
I go downstairs and smile when my mom sees me.
"Honey, you look amazing." She compliments me. "You deserve the good car today."
I grin from ear to ear, our good car was pretty great, but it wasn't like a Porsche or something like that.
I grab the keys and get into the silver car. I hop in and put my hand on the wheel. I back it out of the garage and drive to Beacon Hills High School. I hop out of the car after it's parked.
I hear some wolf whistles and I turn to see the boys lacrosse team. They are all looking at me.
I roll my eyes and strut into the school. The guy I liked is on the lacrosse team, so I find no reason to pay attention to them.
I enter the school. I see eyes go onto me, but then most of them weren't. I followed their eyes, and they were right on Rachel Wolfe.
Popular, absolutely gorgeous, smart, nice, and so funny. She's the exact definition of the greatest person to walk this earth.
She hangs out with Lydia Martin, another super popular girl. They all ignore me so, I just don't care most of the time.
"Hey, Rosy!" I hear someone call my name. Lacrosse boys.
"What do you want?" I say and turn around.
"I wanted to apologize for my friends actions the other night, I had no play in that." The boy says. I turn to look at him.
"Really?" I ask, shocked that he had nothing to do with it.
"Yeah. I'm Isaac, by the way. Isaac Lahey.
He smiles and I blush. I can't fall for him, not him.
"Rosy Silvers." I shake his hand. I guess now I have a friend who actually treats me like a person.
He walks off when one of his friends calls him over. I get my stuff and go to my first class.
I take my seat and look up, Isaac isn't in this class. I sigh, but I turn and see Violet, she waves.
"Now as most of you know, there was a body found last night." The teacher starts off class. "And I bet your minds are coming up with who did it, but the police have a suspect in custody."
I turn to Stiles, since his father is the sheriff. He shrugs to his friends Rachel and Scott.
I look back at Rachel. Her eyes lock with mine for a second, and I swear they started glowing! I turn around and pant.
Rachel rushes out of the class, clutching her head. She leaves class and Scott and Stiles start to stand up. But the teacher stops them.
"She needs a break from you two." He says and starts passing out the packets. Scott and Stiles look at each other with a worried expression.
I feel like I did something, and I start to feel bad. The bell rings and Scott grabs Rachel's stuff. He and Stiles run out to see where she went.
I followed behind them unnoticed. Stiles stands outside the girls bathroom as Scott walks in. I hear their entire conversation.
How is it possible I can hear everything they're saying? I'm far away. Rachel comes out of the bathroom and she heads to the lunch room. I head there too and see Violet. I go sit beside her and smile.
"Hey." She says and smiles. I grin and look at the popular table.
"I wish I was popular." I sigh and look at her.
"We all do, but we can't make it up there." She says. "They have the hottest boyfriends and prettiest girlfriends." She shakes her head.
I see Isaac walk in and he sits across from me. I smile and Violet looks over at him.
"Hey, I'm Isaac." He introduces himself to Violet.
"Violet." She smiles and shakes his hand.
Isaac looks over to the popular table as well. "Yeah, they're amazing, huh?" He says and turns to me.
"You like one of them?" I ask and he nods.
"Yeah, Rachel." He says and looks to her. "She's so cool."
"Oh." I say. I feel like everyone likes Rachel. She's just, perfect!
"You?" He asks. I give him a half smile. I sigh.
"I used to like one of them." I growl. "I don't like him anymore but, it's, Jackson."
Isaac growls. "I hate how he treated you." He glares over at them. I smile, Isaac is the best!
We start to eat. I still don't get how someone like Isaac, popular and very attractive, would want to be friends with someone like me.
"So, Lydia is having a party tomorrow, you guys going?" Isaac asks and takes a bite out of his sandwich. I look at Violet.
"I-I didn't know." I say, embarrassed. Isaac looks up at me.
"Well, you got an invitation from me." He smirks. I giggle.
"Sorry, I, uh, I have stuff." Violet says and leaves the room. I look after her then back to Isaac, I shrug.
