Today is my sixteenth birthday!
The day I am able to shift into a wolf and quite possibly find my soul mate!
I kicked back the quilts and stretched like a cat, expanding all my muscles. I swung my legs round to the side of the bed and jumped up and down, whilst clapping frantically. "Eek! Its my birthday! whoop whoop!" I skipped into the bathroom, stripped off my pj shorts and tank top and climbed into the shower. After, a good half an hour or so of indulging in the hot water, I stepped out and wrapped a lime green towel around my body and waltzed into my bedroom. As I looked towards my bed I saw my best friend Addy, laid on her stomach with a magazine in her hands. Addy has been my best friend, since we were born, literally, my mom and hers gave birth in the same room at the same time! Addy has black shiny hair cut into a neat bob, silver grey eyes with blue specks and a slim pale figure due to her being a vampire, Yes I said vampire, our pack have no problem with them so we allow them on our land as long as they dont bring harm to us or any wolf from our allied packs. I however, have sandy blonde hair that falls just beneath my shoulders, green eyes and quite slim figure apart from I'm about 4/5 sizes bigger than Addy in the chest 'department' and I have a bigger butt. "Make yourself comfortable why don't you?" I laughed whilst taking a bow.
"Finally! Your out of the shower! Hurry up! Mac's waiting in the car outside for us!" I mock saluted her before walking into my closet and taking out a white sundress which came just before my knees, brown leather jacket and some matching brown leather boots. I applied some black eyeliner to my bottom waterline and used some liquid eyeliner for the top eyelid, I used a small amount of mascara and some crimson red lipstick. As for my hair I letf it hanging down in mini ringlets. A wolf whistle came from my bedroom, and I glanced at Addy who had her thumbs up. "Wow HOT CHICA! Your mate is some lucky guy, just make sure you dont complete the mating process tonight!" She giggled, grabbed my hand and pulled me downstairs towards the black mustang her brother, Mac, drives. "Hey Mac!" I waved.
"Goodmorning, Birthday girl, todays the big day!" He took my hand and planted a polite kiss on the back of my hand like he does every time we greet eachother. "Mac! You gotta stop doing that shes going to find her mate today!"Addy swatted his head away from my hand and pulled me into the back seat next to her. Mac chuckled and replied "Calm down young one! Its just an ounce of politness, obviously something you lack!" He muttered the last part under his breath as he started the engine and sped off towards school.

As we pulled up into the school parking lot, Addy nudged my shoulder, "Look, I want you to take today easy and just relax, I was up all night reading about shifting and stuff and it was saying how your emotions are going to be extremely heightened so I need you to take it easy okay?" See, this is why she i my bestfriend. She wants to look out for me. I replied by giving her a quick hug and then opened the car door and we both hopped out, waved goodbye to Mac and turned to face school.
The tanned brick building, seemed to be buzzing with life. The jocks were hanging their heads out of the window with a barrel filled with some sort of liquid , no doubt about to tip it over someone. A group of cheerleaders were practising in their red and white uniforms on the field. Some of the goths were hanging around under the trees and in the shadow of the school were the junkies dosing themselves up with heroine or whatever.
"Smell anything fruity" Addy wiggled her eyebrows and I playfully told her to shut up whilst rolling my eyes. The warning bell rang signalling everyone to start getting to class. It was like someone had turned on a vacuum as everyone filed into the heavy double blue doors. Addy and I were walking to our first lesson when the head cheerleader stopped us;
