Neil's POV

Demi and I are sitting in the Cafè having coffee. It's weird because every 10 minutes someone or a group of people will run up to Demi. "so how are you?" She asked breaking the silence "Ok thank you well as good as can be expected" I answered she looked confused "as good as can be expected?" She questioned "yes mam today we said goodbye to our fallen brothers" I replied "oh" she mumbled "and please call me Demi or well anything but mam you make me sound old" she chuckled changing the conversation "ok Demi so how are you" I asked "I'm good I just finished a mini tour so I get to have a little break"."so um-" I was cut of by her phone ringing

Demi's POV

We were having a nice conversation until my flipping phone decided to ring. I saw it was my mom so I answered it

Phone conversation

"Hello mom"

"Hey Demi I'm so sorry but you need to come home, Maddies Locked herself in the bathroom, we don't know what to do this time".

"Ok mom I'm on my way I'm bringing a friend though"

End of phone conversation

(I know her family live in Dallas but for a vacation they've come to LA for a month)

"Hey so um I kinda just invited you round my parents house so do you wanna come" I asked standing up "yeah sure I've got nothing else to do" I turned to face him "am I your last resort" I joked in a fake shocked voice he laughed walking to the door "ladies first" I shock my head "I'm far from a lady trust me, you've seen how I drive" I joked again "yes it's worse then driving in Afghanistan" he replied making a joke with me. I literally nearly wet myself. "so um you can stay downstairs talking to my dad or something cause my little sisters looked herself in the bathroom again she's having a few issues at the moment" I said making clear why we were going there in the first place "sure thing am I going to be alright in this uniform" he asked "yeah you'll be fine if anything you'll be treated like a king"

"Mom, dad, Dallas where are you guys" I yelled slamming the front door "did you not want to keep that" Neil joked I turned around and slapped him "haha very funny" I relied sarcastically "Demi thank you for coming she's upstairs go a head give it a try" my mom said walking through from the living room giving me a hug "alright I'll be down soon. By the way mom this is Neil, Neil this is my mom Dianna don call her mam or she'll probably smack you in the face" I yelled running up the stairs

Neil's POV

"Good evening sir" I said walking through to the lounge area "hello son can I help you" a tall man replied it was Eddie I obviously knew that but I had to keep calm "no sir I'm a friend of Demi's we were having drinks when your wife Dianna phoned asking us to come back" I answer sharply sticking my hand out "I'm Neil" he took my offer and shock my hand "I'm Eddie Demi's father so your a solider please take a seat" he spoke strongly he had quite a deep voice as well "thank you sir" I answered taking a seat "so you like football son" he asked "Dallas cowboys who else" I replied making him stick his hand up for a high 5 "I've not watched last nights game so wanna watch it now" he asked "yes sir I've not seen any games in 6 months I've got a lot of catching up to do"

Demi's POV

"Maddie baby girl open up it's Demi" I cooed standing in from of her bathroom. I heard shuffling and then the door unlock before I could say anything she pled me in looking the door again and squeezing the life out of "damn girl let me breathe" I joked "sorry Demz" she replied her voice husky from all the crying "what's wrong baby girl" I asked she waited a couple of minutes looking to the ground "I can't help you of you won't tell me" I said sounding more serious "there's this guy I like and I wanna go out with him but he's scared and I don't know what to do" she answered a sigh of relief hit my body I thought it could he bullying but thankfully it's not "oh baby girl I've been in your boat before and it's ok you've just got to show this boy l that it's ok to fall in love and that your not gonna break his heart. who is this boy anyway?" I asked she mumbled something "what I can't hear your" I spoke softly letting her know that it's ok "Drew" she spoke louder "aaaw he doe like you princess I promise you now I can see it in his eyes when you to have sleepovers and stuff why don't you invite him round for dinner and talk to him I'll let momma know" I stood up from sitting on the corner of the bath tub "so you text drew I've got to go downstairs and make sure dads not killing Neil" I said opening the door "who's Neil your boyfriend" Maddie joked i turned around facing her "ok Maddie seriously I need you help, we've only just meet like seriously three hours ago but I like him his cute, a gentleman, and his body is like out of this world, I'm serious come downstairs his wearing a tight shirt and you can see how ripped he is" I chuckled at how I just told my 12 year old sister to go and look how for this guys is I mean I'm 21 for gods sake wait how old is her 26 shit only 5 years better the wilmer that was 12 oh well "Demi your talking out load again" Maddie said interrupting my well what I thought was thoughts "I know I just wanted to make you laugh" I said playing it of nice real smooth Demi "not smooth at all Demi" Maddie spoke. Fuck sake demi "ok smarty pants let's go downstairs" I grabbed her hand walking down stairs to find dad and Neil watching T.V and mom in the kitchen we went to her first "maddies fine now just boy troubles" I whispered in her ear so Maddie didn't hear "mom can I invite Drew for dinner I need help with my project" I winked at mom so she understood "of corse baby Demi and Neil are staying as well so about 5 ring him now baby girl" with that Maddie ran out of the room "so who's Neil and how do you know him" my mom asked with a smirk "he's just a friend mom well he's kinda a fan but before you start he's a solider and I wanted to meet him" I blushed "do you like him" she asked "Jesus mom I just meet him. but yes I can't deny I'm slightly attracted to him" I replied honestly "but don't worry mom he won't like me" she sighed because she knew I would give in "ok well I know your wrong but dinners nearly ready so go sit down" she spoke softly I nodded in agreement before heading to the lounge area I stopped at the door "so do you like Demi" Eddie asked "well sir I mean Eddie I just met her and she's a lovely person so I would love to get to know her better" te voice replied I assume it was Neil I waited a few seconds befote walking in "hey guys dinners ready soon so momma said to wait in here cause you know what she's like" I chuckled. When we were younger mom would get us to set the table but would always ended up doing it herself because we would mess around "ok I'll be back soon I've got to go and get drew for Maddie" Eddie said standing up "ok love you dad" "by sir I mean Eddie" I chuckled at Neil's response "by Demi and by Neil" he said walking out the door. ok nows my move "so um I was thinking maybe we could go to dinner one day" I asked super nervous "what like a date" he asked I nodded "sorta I mean it doesn't have to be a date it could be just two friends having dinner" I replied really fast I'm surprised I understood that myself "don't worry ma- Demi I would love to go on a date with you" it took me by surprise at first because after Wilmer I hadn't really dated anyone I still love Wilmer but It was more of a brother/ sister relationship we had. were still friends but nothing more "awesome so maybe Friday" I asked "nope I'm the man I'll pick you up Thursday here at 8pm" he replied sharply.
