What do you want to see happen and what do you not like? Let me know!

It is going to take all day to get to the Selection Arena in the Olympiad Region. So we prepare tonight and leave early tomorrow morning. George helps me to prepare my backpack with lots of food, an extra pair of clothes, and a few first aide supplies. We go to sleep very early because tomorrow is going to be a very long day.

Mom comes in and wakes us up early, before the sun even comes up. We eat a quick breakfast and go on our way. George walks with me to Haley's house and then meets his friends down the street. As we step up to Haley's house, he stops and hugs me. He hugs me so tight it hurt, but I liked it. He really cares about me. He stops and tells me he loves me and goes down the street to meet his friends. Before I can knock on the door, it opens and Haley jumps out, ready to go. "Let's go!" She says excitedly. I nod and we begin to walk.

"I saw that hug." Haley says while looking at the ground. "I thought you had." I reply. "I wish I had an older sister to hug me and tell me she loves me before we go to possibly die." she said. "I bet." I replied with a smile. We walk up and join the huge group of 15-19 year olds getting ready to go. No parents accompanied their children here. Because now is when we grow up. We are now old enough to go die for the pleasure of the Delegation and any other people that for some reason get pleasure out of this. The procession has already begun and people are still arriving. We will walk and join up with the other sectors of Region 3 so that we will all arrive at the Arena together.

We walk for hours on end. Not stopping. We are on a long dirt road surrounded by forests of trees on each side in a very long clumpy line walking to 12 of our doom. "You know what this reminds me of?" Haley asks. "What?" I ask.

"Well you remember two weeks ago when we learned about Hitler and the Holocoust?"

"For sure."

"Well this is what the text book said it was like. The processions of Jews on their way to be murdered for only believing in something different."

"Hmm." I answer. She doesn't say anything back.

But it made me think. But I didn't want to think. I only wanted to make it to the arena and make it back home, even if being at home wasn't so good.

We didn't talk for the rest of the way. I tried to think, but there is no way I can think with everything on my mind.

After several more hours of walking, we finally arrive at the selection arena. It is huge! The towering flame of independence in the front, with the huge sliding doors opening and closing as people walk inside.
