"Dad, do you know where I put my glasses?" A boy with buzzcut styled hair and bright red cheeks, questioned. He was pulling his duvet up and all of his drawers out, huffing in annoyance when he hadn't found the thick lensed glasses with a thick clear frame.

"I don't know,Stiles! Look!" His father hollered from downstairs, in too much of a rush to care.

"I can't look without them-" Stiles scoffed and pursed his lips into a thin line, turning to look at his nightstand where his water bottle for school was. Seeing only a blurry outline, Stiles stepped and reached forward, grabbing his bottle, only to have his fingers graze over his glasses. Stiles let out a breath of relief. "Don't worry! I found 'em!"

The boy listened as his dad let out a groan, causing him to wince and stifle back his own groan. Stiles ran his tongue over his braces, hating every second with them on his teeth, before he slipped his glasses on and picked up his backpack from his bed. Fortunately, Stiles had packed his bag the night before, so it made it easier for him to just up and leave home in the morning.

"Bye,Dad." Stiles huffed as he walked past his Dad, after hurriedly rushing down the stairs and towards the front door.

His Dad grunted and waved goodbye, quickly scoffing down his breakfast. Stiles just arched his eyebrows and pressed his glasses further up his nose, using his index finger, before opening the front door and walking out to his Jeep. As Stiles walked down the cracked driveway, he stumbled over his own feet and almost dropped his rucksack due to his clumsiness.

"Dang it," Stiles groaned under his breath as he seated himself comfortably in his truck.

"Where the hell are my keys?"

__

Beacon Hills High was crammed with students, each of them meandering around the school grounds, slow to get to classes. Some of the students were huddled in the carpark, making it hard for the Boy to find a spot. Stiles had to wait Ten minutes before he could even bring his truck to a halt in a shaded park, but it didn't seem to bother him much.

Instead of Stiles harshly opening his door and having a go at the group of teenagers, he calmly opened his door and locked his Jeep, his big brown eyes searching everywhere for Scott. The boy frowned and stumbled away from the chaotic buzz and fast moving cars, retreating into the school, with his rucksack thrown over his shoulder.

The corridors were just as crowded, but were calmer, with students leaning against their lockers and chatting with their friends. Stiles liked it when the halls were like this because it meant that he wasn't getting roughly pushed around or shouted at, but only slightly nudged and glared at.

"Stiles! Hey,Dude!" Scott hollered, causing the boy to flinch and snap his head up. Stiles bit back a smile and continued to walk to his locker- the one that was right beside the locker that Scott was leaning on.

"Hey,Scott. Why so loud?" Stiles laughed softly, unlocking the small padlock on his locker.

"I'm just. . . Happy." Scott snorted. Stiles rolled his eyes and looked at Scott in disbelief.

"You're happy? At school?" Stiles shook his head and opened the flaking locker. "I don't believe it for a second."

"Yeah yeah, whatever." Scott rolled his eyes and folded his arms across his chest, frowning and pouting like a child.

Stiles pulled out his binder for English and History, before pulling out two loose pieces of paper. The boy slammed his locker shut, turning to face Scott who look slightly startled from when Stiles had slammed his locker door.

"Here is your homework for Maths," Stiles sighed and handed Scott the pieces of paper. "And that other sheet is for Newt."

Scott's face seemed to light up as a smile etched across his lips.

"Dude, thank you! Oh my god,I owe you."

Before Stiles could reply, the ear piercing screech of the school bell, echoed down the hallways. After students heard this, they all halted their conversations and flooded towards their classrooms. Stiles bit his bottom lip and braced himself for the rough and careless shoving of students, barging into him as if he wasn't there.

"Look,I gotta go,but thank you so much!" Scott hollered with a smile, slipping seamlessly into the moving crowd.

"Yeah,"Stiles muttered and pushed his glasses up on the bridge of his little, button nose, before letting out a hefty sigh.
