Sticks and Stones is an idea that I have been playing around with for a while. It came to me in a dream and I felt compelled to write it. I plan to depict Ben and Cole's lives in very realistic and at points, very graphic ways. Ben's abuse at the hands of his father, the torment he receives from his peers at school for being gay, the pain and guilt that is felt in a family when they lose a child, Cole's often borderline suicidal tendencies, and Ben and Cole's relationship: all of that will be included. If you are going to be bothered by any of that then please turn around and find something else to read, perhaps one of my other books. If you still feel this book is for you then good, you've made your decision. That being said, my aim is to entertain you with a new kind of love story, while also making you think. So read, reflect, and as always, enjoy.
