We got our belongings and packed them into the cars. Tatiana wanted to ride in the Impala and Sam wanted to drive so they, along with Alexandria and Castiel, are seated in Dean's car. I'm driving my 'Vette with Dean riding shotgun.
"So what kind of music do you want to listen to?" I asked Dean.
"I really only like rock." he replied.
"Alrighty." I said to him and hooked my phone up to the stereo system in the car. I put my classic rock playlist on shuffle and just let it play.
Shortly after, "Enter Sandman" by Metallica came on. A huge smile spread across my face when I heard the first notes.
"You like Metallica?" he asked.
"It's on my phone isn't it?" I smirked at his obvious shock. He reached to turn it down a tad and I slapped his hand away from the dial. The surprise returned to his eyes and he pulled his hand to his chest.
"What was that for?" Dean had a look on his face like he was a puppy that just got a smack on the butt for doing something bad.
"No touchy my music. You do not interrupt or lessen the volume of Metallica. It just doesn't work like that." Dean gave me a look that was basically a challenge. He went to mess with it again so I slapped the back of his head. "I told you not to touch it." I could see Sam laughing through my rear-view mirror. I smiled at him and he shook his head. Dean looked over at me suspiciously but didn't say anything until the song was over.
"Is there anything going on between you and Sam?" Dean asked suddenly. "I mean, do you like him like him or are the flirty stares just a habit. Because I'm not getting any if they are habitual."
"Um, I kinda like him, but I'm not sure exactly. It kinda feels like the beginnings of some stupid middle school crush." I replied with a blush. Dean smiled and poked my bright red cheek.
"Well, whatever you decide to do with this "crush", be careful. When he lost his last girlfriend he had nightmares about it for the next six months. Just don't hurt him, please." Dean had the most sincere look on his face and it was kinda scaring me. He's usually the funny, goofy brother.
"I'll try not to. Though I always end up being the one who gets hurt."
"Oh." was all that came from his mouth and we fell into silence. It wasn't uncomfortable but it wasn't preferable. Soon the silence was drowned out by the music that I cranked up.
-time skip-
"Finally!" I exclaimed exasperatedly. "We're in Florida!"
"Remind me why we are here again." Castiel said.
"We don't have any cases and we needed a vacation. So here we are, Cocoa Beach, Florida. My parents brought me here a lot when I was like six or seven years old." I told the man in the trench coat.
"Lets go shopping for bathing suits and swim trunks so we can go to the beach. I got us a room that has an amazing view of the ocean. I'll go check us in and then we'll leave. Grab your bags and follow me." I grabbed my backpack looking bag out of my car and walked up to the large building.
"Hello, how may I help you?" the lady at the front desk said to us all.
"Come on Joyce, don't you remember me?" She gave me a curious look and shook her head. "It's me, Francesca Wesson." I told her.
"Chess? It's been forever!" she practically yelled. She hurriedly made her way around the desk and wrapped her arms around me. "How old are you?" she asked.
"I'm 24." I stated with a smile.
"Oh stop it. You're making me feel old." she joked. I smiled once again and she looked up the room that I had booked. She handed us our keys and we headed to our suite. We dropped our stuff off, deciding that we would discuss sleeping arrangements later.
