She didn't know me, not yet at least. She hadn't noticed the way I watched her, but her friends had. Of course, I did see the jealousy in their eyes when they saw me watching her, wishing it were them I wanted. But I didn't, I wanted her. She was different than them. Much different. Special, even. She was beautiful and spontaneous and glorious. She was some type of perfect, except she wasn't. I could see the brokenness in her eyes, behind the armor she built up. And everything inside me wanted to protect her. And to crush her. She had captured my attention and even a piece of my heart, without even trying or knowing. And I hated her for it.
