It's funny isn't it? How people go everyday not trying new things, developing new skills; they just live normal boring lives. What do they do if they discover they had an ability that no one else hold? They run away from them! They spit on their power and wish for them to vanish just so they could be normal again! Hopefully, not everyone is like that.
'God please not this lecture again' Rain sat at her desk, glancing up at her psychology teacher who stopped their lesson and began ranting. "As you all should know by now this class is to study the human mind." 'Noooo! Not this torture again!" Rain groaned as she grasped at her magenta hair and began to focus on a sketch more than her teachers rant; she already knew every word that he was saying. How? Well that's simple, he repeats this every class period. Considering that she took this class last year, it's no surprise that she had this lecture memorized. 'Why are they forcing me to take this class again?! I passed last year and this shit isn't even required!' Sighing she continued to sketch a small elephant, twirling her one long strand of hair; getting lost in her own thoughts. "-ine. Miss Kline!" Rain jerked her head up to look at her teacher, some of her hands covering her right eye in the process. "Just what do you think you're doing?" "S-Sketching sir." He left out a scoff as he was walked to her desk slowly, perhaps in an attempt to scare her.
This teacher didn't scare her in the slightest, the most he could do was startle her a little bit. He was just your typical middle aged man whose hair was starting to grey a bit, due to stress or age; which is most likely was difficult to tell. As he walked over she simply observed him, just now noticing how disheveled his clothes were along with the hint of whisky emanating from him. Did he had a nip before class or was hungover the night before, did any of the other students notice; the answer to either one of those questions didn't matter. Her teacher picked up her sketch book and scoffed at it slightly before haphazardly tossing it back onto her desk. "Instead of sketching your little imagination, try paying attention instead." Rain's eye twitched after hearing those words spew out of his mouth "Okay sir first of all, regarding earlier, the name's Rain not Ms. Kline. Secondly, I was paying attention to your pointless lecture." When she directed her attention to him again she saw his brows, obviously not pleased with the teens attitude. "It isn't pointless Ms. Kline, and if you were listening then what did I say." Rain rolled her eyes and spoke as she pushed up her glasses up with her middle finger. "All you were doing was explaining was that this class was the study of the human mind and all that goes into it. You say the same thing every class period we have you." The teacher sighed, closing his eyes as he spoke "Do not use that finger to push up your glasses and refrain from shouting when I'm right next to you."
Rain stared at him in disbelief as she slightly threw her arms in the air "I wasn't even shouting!" Keeping his eyes shut he inhaled sharply "Ms. Kli-" "I mean I wasn't shouting at first but now I am because you're pissing me off!" "Do you want to get kicked out of my class?!" The teacher's eyes shot open and stared down at Rain, obvious disdain sparking in his surprisingly dull hazel eyes. Rain looked at him making sure her blue eyes locked with his hazel ones, a smirk appearing across her face. "As the great Sam Puckett once said; it's my dream!" Her teacher pointed to the door with a smug look, glad she didn't do the situation "Wish granted, get out." Rain rolled her eyes having her stuff, blowing her bangs out of her eyes she left the hell hole of a classroom; muttering curses under her breath.
