Rin woke up to the sound of Yukio's voice and a gentle shaking on his shoulder. Routine. For brothers. He wished he could go back to the black pit that was sleep, at least there wasn't crooked people there. Nonetheless, Rin woke up, quickly getting out of bed and doing what he could to get out of Yukio's sight. Too bad it was mandatory to share a dorm room together or else Rin would have considered moving elsewhere in the building.

"Good morning, Nii-san."

Rin gritted his teeth, fucking 'Nii-san.' He brushed off the comment and answered politely. "Good morning, Okumura-sensei."

"Rin?" He paused, he was still his teacher, he needed to respect him still, maybe not in the same way he used to, but still.

"Yes, Sensei?" The air was quiet for a few moments and Rin considered looking back to see what expression the other Okumura had, but he held back.

"....nothing."

Rin mentally shrugged. Picking his shirt off the ground out of habit, then frustratedly throwing it on his bed, walking over to his closet and grabbing out his spare. Laundry would have to be frequent for the next few days until he somehow got a replacement. Clothes in hand, Rin went to the bathroom and shut the door, preparing for a shower. He sighed, glancing down at his bandage, trying to unwind it, but it took a moment to find the end of the tape. He could have sworn he had tucked it in on the other side. Come to think of it, the bandage was wrapped quite good, it was tightly bound and secured neatly. Rin didn't think he had that kind of skill, recalling how he fumbled with the first aid kit. He brushed it off, no need to dwell, and tore off the dirty wrapping. Turning the shower on as hot as he could stand, he hopped in, letting the scalding water thrum against his sleepy muscles.

.oOo.

Rin made his way downstairs, skipping the cafeteria and making his way to school early. He hadn't even made lunch for that day, he was sure Yukio had the money to buy something, but Rin was fine without it, he wasn't all to hungry for breakfast either. Strolling through commons alone, as per usual, he walked to his first class with only his thoughts for company.

.oOo.

School had passed quick enough, with only a few incidents. A handful of people asked about his bandaged hand, but he just told them that he had cut himself while doing dishes. He wasn't lying, technically. He had passed by Izumo in the hallway, but she had been as bitter as always, completely ignoring him. Rin would have smiled if he had cared.

Rin walked to his first cram school class, the damned Phy. Ed class, it's only purpose was to teach students how to run from demons. The raven haired boy walked to the boys locker room, changing into sweats and a t-shirt. Walking out, he was greeted by the teacher, Mr. Tsubaki, who, for once, wasn't texting or calling his "kitten." Bleh!

"Good afternoon, Tsubaki-sensei." Rin said, sitting down against the wall, the others coming in soon after and heading toward their respective locker rooms.

"You're here early, Mr. Okumura, are you feeling alright?" Ol' Sideburn's laughed. "Do you plan on actually trying today as well?" The others were starting to file out and make their way to where he was sitting, a few tuning into the conversation between teacher and student. "I suppose I shouldn't get my hopes up, should I?" Sideburns laughed again and Rin rolled his eyes.

"Think what you want, Sensei." He waved him off. The others gathering to the sides of him, each leaving a few feet between themselves and the demon child.
