CHAPTER 3
After lunch I went to my room and sat at my desk. I looked at my rose painting and got an idea. I went to the hallway with all the boys rooms. I paced back and forth until I finally picked a random door. I knocked and a maid answered. She curtsied and told one of the boys I was here. He came to the door smiled and bowed.
"Hello sir Maxwell" I said smiling
"Hello your highness" he said
"Would you like to come with me to the garden?" I asked
"It would my honor" he said while putting his arm out
I grabbed his arm and we walked down the stairs. As we were walking I saw my parents walking down the hall they smiled at me and whispered things. We walked to the little rose part of the garden and sat together on the bench. He had his hand on my knee. I looked up at his beautiful blue eyes.
"You have beautiful eyes" I said.
Wow I just sounded stupid. He giggled a little
"Why thank you your highness"
"Please call me Jane." I said
"One moment" he said as kneeled facing the roses and picked something off the ground. I looked at the windows on the top floor and realized my parents were staring at me. My mother made kissy faces and my dad chuckled. I mouthed 'go away'. Then Maxwell sat back on the bench.
"For you" he handed me a beautiful red rose.
"Thank you so much!" I gave him a small hug which was interrupted by a maid.
"Your highness your parents asked for you immediately." I nodded and she left.
"I am so sorry Maxwell I owe you." I got up quickly and ran to my parents room. I barged in and they were sitting in big chairs. They were smiling.
"Really?!?!"
They giggled
"We didn't mean to interrupt your date" my dad said with a chuckle.
"You guys ruined my time!" I hollered
"Listen," my mom said, "we were just having some fun."
"well I hope your happy!" I stormed out of there and into my room.
