Rumors- a story that people to either believe it was true or a lie

You here those a lot like on television, social medias, news or in which case school. I'm a senior in high school and I couldn't wait to get out of here. Rumors here spread like wildfire, it's like when one person knows the other finds out just in seconds and so on and on.

I was lucky I never got myself into rumors, they can be a pain since people will have millions of questions like reporters shoving microphones into your face demanding an answer. But some how on of my best friends Grayson is involved in on and somehow he likes it.

Grayson wasn't a popular person before this rumor made him into one. Some people knew him some people didn't, it didn't big me and his twin brother Ethan . It also didn't bug him at all but now he's change on us. Well let's say how this rumor started.

Grayson had this crush on one of the popular girl, Nova. But she is and I repeat a bitch. She thinks she can whatever she wants whenever she wants. Also every guy falls weak to their knees when she comes by. I dislike her and I couldn't believe Gray will fall for a girl like her.

He deserved way better, he's a sweet, funny, caring guy. Here's how it started, we were at a party as Grayson was a tad tipsy. I told Grayson to wait by the door so I can just make some coffee for him. Then soon enough when I come back he's gone. I ask Ethan and he was looking for him as well.

We look all over the place for them and then we found him. Oh yeah we found him all right, on top of Nova Kissing her as they had no top on. Just thinking about that moment made me my heart just hurt a bit. Then then we got back to school everyone found out about Gray hooking up with Nova. Some didn't believe it and some did, then Nova said they did hook up one day.

Then just out of nowhere he go taken to the popular side.He doesn't hang out with me and Ethan no more and acts completely different towards us. He basically ignores us like we're nothing to him. Like we're complete strangers no a days. It's just me and Ethan and some of our friends.

It felt different without him, it's like a piece of the puzzle missing that didn't make anything complete. But it's hurts even more seeing Nova and Grayson in the hallways kissing each other as tears filled my eyes.

I had this crush on Grayson since well Sophomore year. So 2 years basically, I thought maybe it was a few sparks and they'll go away but no I was wrong they grew. Me and Gray had our few moments here and there and with people mistaken us as a couple. We would sometimes play along with it even though I wanted it all to be real.

It was the end of school as I went to my locker grabbing my belongings as I see Ethan coming up to me.

"Hey Malia." He said leaning against some locker

"I'm good Ethan.How bout you?"

"I'm doing fine I guess, but you ok?" He said

"With what?"

"You know with Gray and Nova?"

"He seems happy with her, there's nothing I can do about it. Besides even if they weren't dating he will want to be friends nothing more." I said looking down facing  reality

"Its going to be ok Malia, Grayson will probably stop daydreaming and wake up from all this."

"Ethan its been about 3 months, I'm starting to lose hope. We lost Grayson, he's popular now and wants to be involved with them. Let him be, he forgot about us, he's not going to come back to us. I know he's are best friend and all but  I'm just starting to lose hope."

He bite his lips as he saw Grayson turning into our direction as Nova grab his face to kiss him. I bit my lip as tears swelled in my eyes as I slammed my locker walking towards the exit. I walk to my car as I grab keys so I can just go home and forget about this day.

"Malia?!" I hear a voice call my name

I stop at my tracks probably thinking it was Ethan as I see someone else. Someone who I never thought I'll talk to again.

"Grayson?"
