I don't know if what happened was just a dream or it really happened, it felt pretty real. I'm not sure when it started. I always had a normal life, I was a cheerleader, I was popular at school. What every girl wants. It was just the way my life was. This is not a story about me moving to a poor city and I get a horse at the end. It's different than that. I'm not the protagonist of my own story. I'm just telling it from my point of view. By the way my name is Brittany, I know the typical name for a cheerleader. Like I was saying, I'm not the protagonist, this story is more about a shy girl.
She always had this binder and a little notebook with a rubberband around it. She didn't wear glasses or anything. She was actually pretty. She didn't do anything to show how pretty she was. She had this big brown eyes, and this brown almost red hair. Every time you would talk to her she would look at you with this expression of hers, and she would look at you like if she had known you her entire life. She wasn't a lonely person or anything. Every time I saw her she was with someone, a friend or someone, or sometimes she was walking by herself but she didn't look lonely. She had her head down when she walked, but she didn't look lonely. She was always laughing and smiling, however she was really quite, she was really cute. She was like everyone's little sister, you just couldn't be mean to her.
I say little sister beacuse we all thought of her like a little girl, she didn't look like one or acted that way, but she was our little sister. I didn't know her that much, she was a smart kid. She usually hanged out with guys taller than her, I guess she liked being the little kid or she didn't care at all. She was like the average girl, but with a little bit more courage.
I think she did get bullied a couple of times, sometimes it was really ugly. Once I saw her walking home like she always does, but this time a man came and talked to her and walked with her, she seemed scared, but I just walked away to my bus. The next day she came with sunglasses. She had a black eye. It was awful. She said she fell on her way home, we didn't believe her. She just couldn't lie.
That day I went to the bathroom and I saw her on the floor crying. I've never seen her like that. I don't think anyone has.
" What's wrong?" I said "who did this to you?"
" Nothing" she said with tears running down her face "just don't worry about it"
" Who was that man that came to you while you were walking?"
" No one."
"I know what I saw who was- "
"No one!" she said screaming, she was mad. "Leave me alone!"
I left, not even 30 seconds later she came out of the bathroom and said: " I'm sorry I shouldn't act like that" As always she was looking at me like she I've known me her entire life.
"It's ok" I said " I shouldn't said that that way"
"If you want me toy I can tell you what happened, just don't make a scandal out of it"
"If you don't want to tell- "
"the man you saw" she went on " he worked with my father, my father died a week ago. He was killed" she look to at the right and look at the left, and went on "I know who did it, I saw it. And he knows Imsaw it" she started to whisper. " they are trying to kill me" I saw tears on her eyes again. " they- they are trying to kill me. And they are going to do it" she broke into tear "they are gonna kill me...help me. I don't care about my father's death, he was never home anyways and when he was he was fighting with my mother or locked in his room doing drugs" she looked down, and made a little pause " no one knows about this, just you and me. It could be dangerous so don't you ever tell anyone" She sat on the floor and started crying. I've never seen something like that. It was the middle of third hour, there was no one in the hallway. "How about the cops?" i asked, I knew the answer
