Mom, can I borrow some money?"

"What happened to your salary you earn from a part-time job?" She asked knowing too well what the answer would be.

"I spent it on VICTOR photo cards," I mumbled ready to get scolded.

She sighed and pulled out some money from her wallet and gave it to me. Don't curse me yet, my mom is rich from her brand of clothing but she hates that I waste my money on VICTOR merchandise. It's not like I will meet them in real life or attend a concert. They lived too far, the least I could do is so collect some merchandise.

"I want it back as soon as you get the salary. What is it for this time?"

"A new Album came out," I told her before running away to the safety of my room.

As soon as I ordered the new album, I called my friend.

"Did you order?"I asked and her shriek over the phone confirmed that she did.

"Have you seen the freaking promo of the new MV?" My friend, Maddie asked.

"Yes, for a billion times maybe." And after that, we discussed the song and album for another fifteen minutes.

"I am putting up my collage today, you want to come and see it?" I asked her and she immediately agreed.

"Tomorrow after school I will drop by your place first." She said and after deciding next day's plans we hung up.

My room was filled with VICTOR posters. In case you live in a cave, VICTOR is the hottest band of the century. Comprised of five super talented handsome guys it is my favourite band in the world.

But unfortunately, I have never been to their concert or fan meetings or seen them up close. I have been their loyal fans since they debuted and also pulled many of my classmates in their fandom.

The band consisted of five members: Zaidan, Brent, Michelle, Ross and Skyler. Brent was the leader of the band and the oldest, 23 years old followed by my ultimate bias, Zaidan, 22 years old and then Michelle , 20 and finally Ross and Skyler, 19 and 18 respectively.

All seem eligible to me since I was eighteen and last year of school. Besides that, I was working as a part time intern for a magazine as a photographer. I lived alone with my mother who separated from my father when I was six and ever since I have not met my dad. He lived in Canada, the country where VICTOR came from while my Mom and I lived in Florida.

My dad called me once in a while, like my birthdays or new year or some occasion but he never came to meet me. And my mother didn't send me to meet him either. She said he went because there was something more important than us. I don't remember what happened all those years ago but I remember when he left. I cried for almost a week.

But now we don't talk much or rather not at all.

So it was a big shocker when he called later that evening.

Maddie was helping me decide where to put up the poster and we were dancing to the songs of VICTOR when a familiar number flashed on my phone. And even though I could pick up the call myself I ran to my mother for a solution.

"Dad is calling," I said with anxiousness and my mother shook my head at my reaction.

"So pick it up Zenna." My mother called me with my full name.

I gulped and answered the phone worried for no reason.

"Hey, Dad," I said in a small voice.

"Hi, Miss Bray. This is Clayton, your father's friend. He has been in an accident and he is in the hospital. He wants to talk to you." As soon as he said the words my head started spinning, a nausea building inside me.
