The next morning, I rushed out of bed. Was it a dream? I glance out the window. Nope. The light was on. I see a girl peer through the curtains opposite me. The girl that looks the same as me. I smile and wave pretending that I totally wasn't spying on them. She looks me in the eye. A cold shiver goes down my neck. Her eyes are a piercing red. I swear I see them change colour from red to black. She ducks behind the curtains and the lights go off. I sigh

" Grace!!! You are so late!" Mum yells. I never knew my dad so I can't really be sad. It's annoying how people are like "sorry " when I say I don't have a dad. I cant miss him because I don't know him! I throw on my uniform, a boring grey and white blazer and a disgusting green skirt.I hopped down the stairs straight into my mum. I wrapped her in a bear hug and hug her to death. I love my mum so much! Just a way of showing it!

My mum buries her head in my dark hair and turns me towards her. I look into her creamy eyes and smile at her. "Grace, good luck enjoy the first day back okay? I know its hard that Lauren left but you can do it!" mum smiled and kissed my head. Lauren had been my best friend since I can remember, but she left. It's hard because I only made friends with her, it was just us and no one else. So, I totally wish she was still here. I pack my bag. Jacket... check pencil case......check books....... check lunch....... Check! I was ready to go. On my way out I grabbed an apple.

I glanced at my watch and winced. Late on my first day back great! I run out the door to see the bus about to leave. I quickly race onto the bus and sigh. It was crowded which meant I had to sit next to someone I didn't know. Whispers filled the train as heads turn my way. Why? Why can't I have a loud bus of children that didn't notice when I got on? I stumbled as the bus started moving. "oi Kid! Take a seat!" the bus driver yells shaking his fist. Everyone sniggers. Yep and no one offered me a seat so I plonked myself next to a guy. He turns and I am surprised to see him smiling at me.

"hey" he said. I cant answer because I have never talked to anyone besides my teacher, mum and Lauren before. Push. Push. "Hi!" I blurt out as I spit everywhere. "Sorry' I mumble humiliated. He blabbers on about something unimportant and I freeze when he laces his arm around my neck but luckily the bus stops and I hurry off. Running superfast. I run into a hard hard muscled body. I glance up to see a huge cute kid standing over me. "Sorry!" I call as I run away. He smiles and stops me. "I'm Joseph" he mumbles, his eyes crinkle as he smiles. We introduce ourselves and I hurry away to stand or lean against a huge pole. Who new talking to people could be so exhausting?

I gasp as I see a familiar car pull up. "Its them!"
