~Adrian's POV~
The bell rang, dismissing us to our lunch periods. I got up from my seat from the corner, which I always sit in the corner, and start gathering my things. A girl with long blonde hair and way to much makeup splattered on her face came waltzing up to me.
"Hey freak. What's with the clown hair?" She sneered. I think her name was Jessica. When you get bullied enough the names start to not matter. I just stayed silent as I gathered everything together, slinging my bag over my shoulder. She pressed her perfectly manicured hands against my shoulders and shoved me back. I kept my head down, avoiding her eyes.
"Why don't you speak, freak?" She shoved me again, making me stumble and land on the floor. Her ear piercing laugh filled the room. Soon enough everyone joined in. I bit my lower lip to keep back the tears as I gathered all my things back up and stood up. The girl, Jessica, started towards me again, with a devilish grin. I stayed silent and got out of the room as fast as I could.Leaving her, and the laughing classroom, behind me.
I kept my head down, watching where I stepped. I didn't notice that I ran into someone in front of me. I looked up to find it was a male, a tall one. He had dark brown hair with hazel eyes. He had a look of concern as he looked down at me. I was worried that he didn't look at me weird, or why he hadn't walked away yet.
"Hey, are you okay?" The boy said, placing a large, warm hand on my thin shoulder. I was wondering why he was looking at me like that. The confusion must've been clear on my face because he raised his other hand to my cheek, wiping away some tears that I didn't know were there. I must've been crying, the usual. I gave him a nod and a fake smile, the realist it could get, and started to move.
"Wait. I want to know your name." He said, gently wraping his hand around my upper arm. I was stunned by him, no one really payed much attention to me. Either they ignored me or they bully me. This guy was doing neither. I turn around slowly, a soft blush creeping over my cheekbones.
"Adrian." I mumble, avoiding his eyes. I know he heard it, because he smiled in reply.
"I'm Chance. It's nice to meet you. We should meet up sometime." He responded. I nodded slightly, wiggling out of his grip and running off to my locker. This was strange, very strange. No one ever does that.
~Joey's POV~
"So he started screaming, LOVE THE PONIES!" Tommy laughed, clutching his stomach. My face was beet red in embarressment. Fawn was cracking up aswell.
"Hey, My Little Pony is the best show ever. No one should be hating on that shit." I chucked slightly, my face fading to a light pink. Tommy always does this. Fawn nodded in agreement.
"It really is. I mean, Twilight Sparkle is the bitch." She stated confindently. I gasp and hold my hand to my heart.
"No! It's Rainbow Dash. Obviously. She shows her support for the gay people." I retort, looking offended. She giggles and covers her face with her small hands.
The bell rang suddenly, and I stood up to gather my things. Tommy joined in to help me and I smiled gratefully to him.
"Thank you. Hey Fawn, want to sit with us at lunch?"
"Sure." She said softly, nodding her head slightly. She went back to hiding in her shell, but she wasn't as bad as Adrian. I smile and start walking towards the door. I stop to wait for Fawn and Tommy, leaning against the door frame. Some girls would past me by, checking me out, and clearly not knowing that I was gay. Then there were others, that just ignored me, or insulted me. Fawn and Tommy walked up to me, and I started walking out the door, with them in tow.
