Chapter 7: Jake

I get up grab some clothes and head to the bathroom. I get in there and turn the shower on and get undressed. I step in and let the cold water run down me. I wash my hair and body then step out of the shower. I get dressed and head back into our room. I just then saw that my mate was wearing my clothes. "I like your clothes" I said and laughed slightly. "He looked up from the book he was reading and giggled. "Sorry my clothes aren't up here yet and I needed a shower". "Its ok I'll go get your clothes and put them up for you". "Thanks" was all he said and went back to reading his book. I walked downstairs and grabbed his bag of clothes and walked back to our room. I set the bag down and opened it and I started to unpack his stuff. "I could do that you know" he stated. "I know but I also know that your probably sore" I responded. "Yeah a little bit".  "Okay then. I'm putting up your stuff for you". He laid down and fell silently asleep. Once I was done putting up his clothes I got into bed and wrapped my arms around my mate and fell asleep too. I wake up to being shaken awake. "Hey someone's at the door" Alexander says. I get up and walk downstairs. "Alpha there was another death last night" my beta Ronnie says. "Thank you Ronnie tell the pack that I'm holding a meeting in 10". "Yes sir Alpha". I close the door and turn around to see my mate on the stairs mouth agape. "Its ok we'll take care of it baby" I said reassuringly. He just nodded his head and got up and walked over to me. He wrapped his arms around me and pressed his lips to mine. I kissed him back and then he pulled away. I winned softly and he did so. "You only have 10 minutes before the meeting remember" he said smartly. "Ugh your no fun" I stated back. "Lets get ready for the meeting Ok" he said. "Okay" I said and we walked back up the stairs.
