Crazy But I Love Him

I couldn't believe it, my brother in arms, my best friend, the one who left years ago, was in front of me. His sword in hand, pressed against my neck. Laurance had the biggest smirk on his face, as if he enjoyed seeing me scared.

The rims of my eyes began to burn, tears obviously threatening to spill.

"L-Laurance! Its me, I-It's Garroth!" I whimpered out, helplessly.

A dry chuckle erupted from his mouth. "I know who you are. Or at least, used to."

I furrowed my eyebrows, my bottom lip beginning to quiver. 

"Don't play dumb."

"I-I'm not!"

"Mhm. Any last words?"

I didn't reply, I just closed my eyes and braced myself to feel the sharp pain.

But I didn't feel anything, I just heard a deep laugh.

"Oh, how rich is this!"

I opened my eyes in confusion, taking a deep breath to see Aphmau standing there. She was in her Irene form, sword in hand, sending a glare to Laurance.

"Heh, hi Irene."

"I am not Irene."

Laurance rolled his eyes. "I'm not into this, talking about your birth."

"But your interested in killing Garroth?"

Laurance didn't say anything, he just looked at me.

And for a second

I thought I saw his eyes flash back to baby blue.

"Laurance, I do not want to hurt you."

"You already did. Go back to Aaron." Laurance replied, I could hear the pain and anger in his voice.

"He's dead." Aphmau said slowly, I noticed tears forming in her eyes.

"Burning in hell hopefully."

And within a flash, Aphmau charged him, anger plastered all over her face. Her sword clanked against his.

"Ooh~! Angry!"

Aphmau grit her teeth, scowling at him. 

And before I knew it, he knocked Aphmau back. Her head banged against the wall, and she just fell to the floor.

"Aphmau!" I whimpered weakly. Crawling to her, desperately.

"Heh, you guys are pathetic." Laurance kicked me in the side of my rib. But, I couldn't bring myself to try to attack him. He was my best friend, my brother.

"Urgh..." Aphmau groaned weakly, looking at him, tears streaming down her face.

But seeing her like that made me wanna end him. I jumped up, trying my best to not fall back down and I grabbed my sword.

I charged him, my feet running like lightning. I heard the loud CLANK! At that moment, we both made a powerful shove against each others sword.

I locked my eyes with his. "Don't make me do this."

"Do what? Kill me? Like you could ever get your sword to touch my skin." He spat.

I did another powerful strike, causing us to fly back. I noticed Aphmau laying there, eyes shut, breathing shallowly. 

I looked around to see everyone else laying there, dead. Michi, Sasha, Travis, Dante, Katelyn, everyone. 

I was terrified, but there was a part of me that felt strong.

He was a Shadow Knight, I was just a normal human. 

I felt my blood boiling. He had killed all my friends, right in front of me. But I know this isn't the Laurance I know, the Laurance I love.

"Cmon pretty boy. Bring it!" He shouted from the other side of the room, wiping some blood off his lip. I heard the lava gurgling, I felt the extreme heat. 

I didn't wanna kill him, no way. But if I had to, I had to. but I just furrowed my eyebrows and growled.

"Why did you kill them?!" I finally shouted, looking at Aphmau who, even though was alive, I knew if I didn't get help soon, she would be dead. The impact hit her so hard.

"Why not? Its fun." He paused. "But now I want your blood on my clothes."

I felt my heart pounding. "You didn't have to kill them!"

"They were pathetic jackasses."

I finally couldn't take it anymore, I began to sprint towards him, everything going in slow motion for me as we both braced ourselves.

I ran faster and faster within the seconds, getting closer and closer. 

But as I ran towards him, he began to drop his sword. But It was to late, because once I got close enough to him, I struck him. Right in the ribs.

"I love you." I heard him breath out as he hit the ground.

Wait, WHAT?! Was he just giving up? And...He loves me?!

And in those 5 seconds of just staring at him, I had realised, I loved him too. I have for the longest time. He meant the world to me, even if he was a psychopath.

And that's when more tears streamed down my face, my dying friend, just sitting there, because of me. 

Thats when my body did its own thing, I slowly felt my lips smash against his, I noticed his eyes were wide, but closed softly, and that made me close mine. I felt the sparks fly as our lips moved in sync. But to soon, I pulled away, leaving him a flustered mess.

We just stared at each other, eyes wide, and faces bright red. The anger in his face, gone now.

"I-I'm so sorry..." He cried out, looking around at everyone.

But I couldn't reply, I just continued sobbing. I knew Aphmau was dead at this point. They all were.

He was all I had left.

"I-I love you." I sobbed into his shoulder, "I-Im s-s-so sorry..." 

But as if it was a movie, I noticed the giant gash in his rib, slowly fade. He was healed.

My eyes widened, and I just kissed him once more.

He's Crazy, But I Love Him.
