It was finally sundown. I couldn't wait to see Talia. She was probably crying so hard, because she had to wait all day to see me. I may be exaggerating.

I put on my sandals and opened the door.

"Hey worm, where are you going?" Vita asked.

"I have an important meeting." I said triumphantly.

"Oh? What's so important, Aulus?" She said mockingly.

"Listen Vita, I don't need people like you in my life to make things harder than they need to be." With that I slammed the door. I told my Mother I was going to the library just in case anyone tried to tell on me.

I walked along the dirt road for a bit and then I saw the cobblestones that led to the village.

After some time, I went to the Secret Gardens. It was better than I had ever seen it. There were upside down trees and everything. It looked magical.

The only reason I know about this place is because I found it. Or it found me. There are legends about this place. That it reaches out and touches your soul. That's how it finds you. That's how it found me. When I first saw it, I was amazed at all of the flowers and greenery. It made me feel happy inside and I hoped that's how it would make Talia feel tonight.

"Hey!" A voice behind me exclaimed, cheerfully.

I turned around to find Talia in a beautiful sea foam-colored dress that went down to her ankles. She looked like a godess all over again.

"This place is amazing." She said as we started walking through the ginormous garden.

"I know. That is why I have taken you here." I said.

She smiled and looked up at the stars.

After a while, we got tired of walking and we sat on a bench together. It was so romantic. I swore I was going to throw up. I hated romance, yet longed for it.

"So, you come here a lot?" She asked.

"Sometimes, when I need to relax."  I calmly stated.

"It is so amazing, Aulus." She said.

We leaned in close. Really close. She kissed my lips. Even her lips were amazing. I hoped mine were just as great.

When we stopped, she looked into my eyes. I looked into hers.

"Aulus, I am so sorry, I must go." She said as she got up. "I'm sorry."

What was she sorry for?

She ran away and she looked back at me. I didn't know what to say or do.

But this was the best night of life. I just wanted to know what happened with Talia.

I got up and started to run after her. When I got to village square I was expecting to find her, but she was nowhere to be found. I was so upset. Did she not like me? Was I really that bad?

I started to get very angry at myself. What did I do? Ugh, I always mess things up.

I started to walk down the dirt path to my house and I was still wondering what happended with Talia.  I started to kick small rocks so I could take my mind off  Talia. Finally, I got home.

I opened the door.

"Vita, Mary, Ma, Dad, I am home!"  I yelled.

There was no answer.

"Ma?" I looked inside her room, no one was there.

I ran upstairs to Vita's room. She wasn't there either.
