Nagisa Shiota and Rio Nakamura Unexpected Love

Chapter 2 - What's this feeling

"Mm...huh" Rio muffled out as she raised her head from her desk "man its super late why didn't anyone wake me up" Rio says as she puts her hand to her face "mm" Nagisa let's out a small groan and ends up startling Rio. "What the what....N...Nagisa" Rio Shrieked
as she noticed Nagisa asleep on a desk next to her and she also notices how cute Nagisa's sleeping face is as she reaches over and plays with his hair. "O...oh Rio you'r finally up" Nagisa mumbled as he lifts his head up and looks at Rio with a yawn escaping his mouth "ah..." Rio says caught by surprise when Nagisa grabs her hand and looks into her eyes "ah..N..Nagisa y..yea I just woke up ....uh Nagisa... c...can I have my hand back" Rio says as her face heats up with a blush. "Oh...y..yea sorry about that" Nagisa says in a nervous tone with his face turning red as he releases Rio's hand "S...so what are you doing here Nagisa shouldn't you have went home by now" Rio asks with her heart still beating from the warmth of Nagisa's hand lingering on her own. "Oh....well you fell asleep during class and we didn't want to wake you up so I volunteered to stay and watch over you..." Nagisa explained nervously "You offered to stay and watch over me?" Rio questioned aloud without knowing she had done so. "Everyone was against leaving you here by yourself including me, and well Taiga wanted to stay but we weren't gonna let that pervert stay and watch over you besides I didn't have any plans so yea...." Nagisa mumbles out shyly. "Oh... well thank you Nagisa that was nice of you..." Rio says in a sweet tone and thankful that it was Nagisa and not that pervert Taiga who watched over her "Any way we should get going its pretty late" Nagisa says to break the awkward tension that built up between the two of them and headed towards the door "Y..yea we should" Rio says while standing up grabbing her bag and walks over to the door where Nagisa waited for her. They both left the school building and talked about the assignment they did today "yea and that intriguing quote about love" said Nagisa "I was asleep remember so I have no clue what you'r talking about" Rio says with a small laugh escaping her mouth. "R..right um well the quote went like this I think (Tis better to have loved and lost, Than never to have loved at all )" Nagisa said repeating the quote Koro sensai said earlier in class with a beautful,sweet,slow tone which Rio noticed and was intrigued by it. "Wow that's a deep quote, like dark soul deep" Rio said with a playful tone "yet you made it sound so beautiful Nagisa" she continued while glancing over to Nagisa who was looking away from her which lead her to believe he was just trying to hide his blushing face"T..thanks" Nagisa said not trying to give away his shyness to Rio's kind words. As they approach Rio's house it started to rain so they made a run for her house, luckily they made it to her porch before it started pouring "Man that was close" Nagisa said with a sigh of relief "the stupid weather main said it was going to be clear a week" Rio said with an angry growl and frustrated huff . "Um... Ngisa would you like to come in, I wouldn't want you to get sick walking in the rain" Rio asked with a small blush appearing on her face "o..oh um sure, thank you" Nagisa said thankfully, they walk into Rio's house "Mom! Dad! I'm home" Rio yelled out yet no reply "hmm they must have went out..." She said to her self and then notices a note on the refrigerator. "Dear Rio. Honey we had an important conference meeting we had to attend in New York so we wont be back for two weeks, we left some money on the counter for you to use while we are away. We love you hone stay safe." Rio read the letter her parents had left her and was a little surprised. "Wow, the rain doesn't seem to be letting up anytime soon" Nagisa declared as he looked out the window with a small frown "You'r right....hey Nagisa what do you think about staying here tonight" Rio said blushing slightly looking at the blue haired boy "what! stay here, wouldn't that be up to your parents" he said with his face heating up. "They're not here and they wont be back for another two weeks, plus I don't want to make you walk in the rain" She said taking a strand of her hair and twirling it "o..oh, um thanks...do you have a phone so i can let my mom know where I am" Ngisa uttered with a nervous tone "Yea it's over there" Rio stated while pointing to the other side of the living room to a shelf. Nagisa gets up and walks over to where Rio pointed then picked up the phone and started to call his mom :

Nagisa "Hi mom"

Hiromi "Nagisa where are you. Do you know what time it is!"

Nagisa "Sorry I know its late and...I'm at a friends, I'm gonna stay here for the night if that's okay...I don't want to get sick walking in the rain"

Hiromi "Hmm....Fine, but next time call me and let me know where you are. I was worried."

Nagisa "Sorry mom, I didn't mean to worry you. Love you mom goodnight"

Hiromi "Love you to honey goodnight"

Nagisa hangs up and puts the phone back on the shelf and lets out a sigh "whats wrong Nagisa" Rio asked worriedly "Nothing, I just thought my mom would have chewed my head off more then what she did for not calling her sooner" Nagisa replied with relief. "Well its only 8:43 what do you wanna do Nagisa" Rio asked Nagisa "...do you want to watch a movie" Nagisa replied as he turned around to face Rio "sure and since you'r my guest, you can pick" Rio said with a smirk whilst she walk over and stood in front of a shelf with a bunch of dvd's. Nagisa walks over and looks at the dvd's before him " okay...hmm" Nagisa mumbled under his breath and he couldn't decide between 'The Fault in Our Stars' or 'Pride and Prejudice' "Um I can't decide between these two so you pick" Nagisa said handing the two discs over to Rio. "Hm..well 'The Fault in Our Stars' is sad and I don't want to cry to night so 'Pride and Prejudice' it is" she said heading over to the TV, turning it on and putting the dvd in the dvd player "Come on Nagisa take a seat" Rio said invitingly and Nagisa walked over and set down next to Rio happily excepting her invitation. Twenty seven minutes have passed since the movie started "So Nagisa have you seen this movie before" Rio asked Nagisa "Yea, and I think its a good movie" Nagisa replied with a smile which made Rio's heart flutter "ahh" Rio Yawned "Hey Nagisa is it okay if i lay my head on you'r shoulder" Rio asked with a warm blush crawled up her face. "A..ah s..sure Rio" Nagisa Stammered out with his own face heating up due to Rio's sudden question "Thanks..ahh..." Rio thanked Nagisa as another yawn escaped her mouth and she scooted up next to Nagisa and laid her head on Nagisa's shoulder yet not a moment later Nagisa heard soft breathing in a steady rhythm and the culprit behind this was non other then a sleeping Rio.
