My fingers drum on my desk, repeatedly as I stare at the clock.
"Crow? Hey, Earth to Crowley, Earth to Crowley."
Hands wave in front of my face and I snap out of it. "Huh? What? Yea?"
Travis leaned his face real close to my face. "What are you thinking about?"
I lean back as he did so, feeling a little uncomfortable and self-conscious. "Uhhhhhhh, nothing."
"Liar." He frowned. "Tell me."
"It's nothing-" The dismissal scream sounds and I immediately get up. "Oh, hey, there's the bell. Gotta blast!" I quickly walk past Travis and out of the room. The little black wings on the side of my head start flapping and I shrink into a bat. Jumping up, I flap my wings and fly up, hanging from the ceiling in the shadows.
Travis had ran out of the room and look down each side of the hallway. I had never seen him look so confused. Usually, he always had a cocksure smirk but now, it looked... odd. He sighed like he gave up and walked past other students.
I exhaled and let go of the ceiling, wings outstretched so I glided through the hallway. Alright, Travis! What are you hiding?
