2. Introductions

This morning, I came to school slightly later than yesterday since I decided to sleep a little longer. Upon reaching the classroom, I saw that the broken window had been replaced already. I sat down and began drawing what I imagined today would be like. Having introduced to my new teachers, playing ice-breaker games, and the barbaric behaviour of the boys in my class. Someone walked by my desk and tried looking at my drawing, but I immediately shifted it away from his sight. I did, after all, treasure privacy.
"Kaypoh." I muttered under my breath, only for me to hear.
The bell rang slightly after I finished the base of my drawing, signalling the start of assembly. I rushed downstairs and lined up, making sure my shirt and blouse were straight.

It was torturous.

They spent at least 20 minutes talking about attire checks and what to expect this year. I was at the verge of screaming at them to just hurry, but I could only do it in my mind.
After 10 million years, note the sarcasm, they finally dismissed us, I was looking forward to going back to class, not for the teachers or the games, but for my sketchbook.
My sketchbook was like my visual diary, I would draw my feelings and thoughts out onto the textured paper.

The first two teachers came in after a while, they introduced themselves as my class's form teachers, Mr Steven Lim and Mdm Naomi Ong. They told me briefly what to expect in their classes and behaviour expected to be performed by me. They were not only our form teachers, Mr Lim was my Mathematics teacher and Mdm Ong was my English teacher. During their "lesson" I found out that the boy that shouted at me yesterday was called Eden, and that most of my classmates, including Eden and his friends, came from an affilated school, meaning they knew each other before they came to this school. I sat at the back of the class and Eden sat right in front of me. Mr Lim and Mdm Ong were replaced by a older female teacher after the first bell rang after 40 minutes, indicating the next period.

When she introduced herself, I could not help but giggle and snicker at her english, I looked around and realised I was not the only one doing that. She just sounded so hilarious!

"Ah ok class my name is Misures Mary Ho. I am teaching the Geofry to yall 这些人. Okay? I dowwan you people to make noise when I am talking okay? OI! YOU!"

(A/N:
Translates to:
"Okay class, my name is Mrs Mary Ho, I am teaching your class geography, okay? I do not want anyone talking back to me while I am talking, okay? Hey! You!")

Some students started to laugh loudly, but she did not notice they were laughing at her. She just kept on shouting at them.

After going through her "5 golden rules", she finally left the class. When we were left alone, I heard Eden talking to his friends in a old lady accent: "The first goldern rule horh, is not talk when I speak ok? The second rule is cannot go bianbian (go toilet) during 我的 lesson time. Blah blah blah blah lah, dunno what she saying lah, siao one.."

I have no idea whether I was suppose to giggle or glare at him.

I just giggled, and he stared back at me.

"What. What's your problem?"
"Err... nothing?"
"Siao zha bor."

Errrr what the heck?
What is his problem??
I think he is the siao one.
Exactly right.

I just ignored him and went back to drawing in my sketchbook, finishing the drawing I had started that morning.

"Wahhhh!! Your dad is a famous superstar??!! That's so cool man!!"
"Yah I know, but you cannot tell anyone okay?" Eden said, super loudly.

"OMIGOD. YOUR DAD IS A ACTOR?"
"WOW!! DOES HE COME TO FETCH YOU EVERYDAY??"
"OMYGOD CAN I MEET HIM?!"
"HEY CAN YOU GET AN AUTOGRAPH FOR ME??!!"

So much for "cannot tell anyone".....
That's what people like him do to get friends...

"CLASS SETTLE DOWN!!" A deep voice boomed over the classroom. I looked up to see a tall and bulky person in a formal suit. "Do you guys know how loud you are? I can hear you from the staffroom!! This will be your last warning!"

I heard mummuring from around me.
"Uhhh guys, I think that's the discipline master..."
"The discipline master? As in Mr Ng?"
"Omygod. That's the Mr Ng..."
"Why why?? What's with him?"
"He is said to be the longest servin-"

"KEEP QUIET CLASS!"
Our two form teachers, who just  returned, boomed ferociously.

They reprimanded us for at least 15 minutes about basic respect and courtesy and told us we would not be playing any ice-breaking games today. They also told us what to bring for tomorrow since we are having some activites, and finally, we were dismissed.

Must be the ice-breaker games then.

Eden and his gang practically ran out of class so they could play soccer.

I walked to the train alone and sketched a bit more on the way home. When I reached home, I took a long, relaxing shower and wrote down my to-do-list on a sticky-pad.

To-Do-List
1. Write down the names of the teachers that came into class today.
2. Contemplate whether to report Eden and the broken window.
3. Sketch out what happened today.
4. Do Chinese revision booklet.

Sigh....

A/N:
Hey guys! Sorry for the long wait. I had a bit of a writer's block since I don't even have much experience writing stories. It took me forever just to write this many words.😢😕
Anyways, updates won't be so often since I have school and alot of homework. I will try my hardest to write tho.

Btw you notice that most of the dialogue is in Singlish (Singaporean English). That's because this story happens in Singapore... so I suggest you don't read this book if you don't understand Singlish.

Anyways, feel free to point of grammer errors, but note I would most probably not change it until I have completed the story....

Thanks lovelies!!
