when we walked into the room, and it wasn't what I expected. we had walked into the living room, and there is a doorway to the left of the room, what looks like the kitchen and a doorway to the right of the room leading to what I guess is the bedroom.
"this is where you will be living until we get everything confirmed and dealt with. enjoy." the lady says.
"I never caught your name..." I say awkwardly.
"it's Mrs. Ravensbruck." she says coldly. "now if you don't mind, I have very important work to do. Justin, your staying here.
"what? I thought I was training!"
"you are. you are training to be her guardian and to keep her safe. now good day." Mrs. Ravensbruck says and before Justin can get out, the door quickly shuts behind her.
Justin stands at the door banging his hands on the door for about five minutes, gives up, and slumps to the floor, with his hands in his face. I decide to ask him, "hey, you want to come watch TV with me? they got thousands of channels on here!"
Justin looks up at the door and deciding that it's no use, gets up and sits down next to me. "what do you want to watch?" I say handing him the remote.
he flips to news channel 8. "I'm checking to see if we're on the news yet." then he flips to fox 12 Oregon, and all the other available news channels. "good we are still a secret."
we. it was all I could think about. he said we. but why? why did he say we, and most importantly, why did Mrs. Ravensbruck say to Justin stay here and be "her guardian"? there were so many things running through my head, I almost didn't here him ask me something, but I didn't quite catch all of it.
"what?" I said trying to sound casual, and obviously I failed.
"I said do you have any habits, like jogging, training, or anything like that?" he said it like he was a therapist asking me questions in a soothing voice.
"yeah, actually all is the above. but why? it's not like I won't be able to go jogging or do training, right?" he goes silent, and the more we sit in silence, I begin to think that I will be jogging the house length.
