Forcing myself out of bed, I grabbed a shirt and threw it over my head, struggling to find the arm holes for a moment. My fingers skimmed my toned stomach as I tugged the shirt all the way down. This shirt really brought out my sea blue eyes and I needed that for school. Although I wasn't ugly, my eyes were my biggest factor. My 5 foot tall body put me in the shorter end of things and although I had a body to die for, I would rather have people focus on my eyes. Throwing on black skinny jeans, my red and black hightops, and a black jacket, I headed to the bathroom to get my makeup and hair done, grabbing the brush I quickly brushed my hair off to the side like I always did. Little pieces of my black bangs tickled the left side of my face while the bangs on my right side covered my right eye. I moved my hair out of the way before doing my make up. I walked away knowing that the old house was just two houses down, my speed picking up as anticipation of what was about to happen consumed me, fueled me, and devoured me. I was going to see that glass room.
The familiar house popped into view and my famous smile appeared on my lips. The smell of Pine trees were messing with my senses. The large pine tree by the edge of the yard seemed to separate it from the house next door. The familiar old bricks taunted me as I climbed those stairs that continually screamed at those who walked on them, protesting to the pressure on its old wood. I grabbed the ice cold knob and opened the door with a loud creak. Stepping onto the familiar hardwood floor, the heat of the room overwhelmed me. I seemed to forget that the weather outside was just above freezing with the excitement I felt in exploring that last room upstairs. There was something there, I could feel it.
The feeling began to return as my heartbeat started to speed up. With the memory of the lack of sleep I had obtained last night, I knew better than to back out. The living room was warm, but the flashlight I brought flickered
