Ravens POV

The Hera Cabin was all white marble and tall pillars. It looked like a Greek Temple, not a place to live. The doors were inlaid with jewels in a peacock feather design. Wait those weren't jewels. Wow, the feathers were formed by a ray of light, undulating colours trapped in the shape of feathers.

I looked at Nico, I still couldn't believe he was real and not about to disappear. He rolled his eyes.

"You have to open the door Raven"

"I know that" I defended "I just needed to be sure you hadn't disappeared on me"

"And why would I do that?"

I nearly said; because you're a character and I'm not entirely sure if you are real, but I stopped myself in time.

"Umm.. because you hardly even know me, yet you are choosing me over people you have known for years"

"Yeah well.. you're innocent and they haven't actually acted much like friends"

I remembered how Nico had been treated poorly by people at both demigod camps.

"So does this mean we're friends?"

"Just open the door Raven"

Did his change of subject mean we were or we weren't? The Nico I thought I knew, the character, would've had no qualms about saying no and putting me in my place. But this Nico, the person, wasn't really behaving predictably.

Sighing I pushed open the door, it swung open silently. Inside was a huge statue of the goddess Hera, seated on her throne. In her hand was a staff topped with a lotus flower. The statue was brightly painted, robed in gold and inlaid with semi-precious stones. The statue's face seemed kinder, more benevolent than Riordan had described it, as if something had happened to change her opinion of the world.

"There should be an alcove around here somewhere" I muttered "behind the statue I think" I walked around the back of the Hera statue. Instead of an alcove there was a passageway.

"This wasn't here in the Lost Hero" I told Nico. He looked at me, puzzled.

"Oops sorry. That's just the name of one of the books"

"There are multiple books?"

"Yeah"

At the end of the passage were two branches, where the passage split.

"Left or right?" Nico asked me

"Right" I'm not sure how I knew but I did.

After a few minutes we arrived in a gigantic bedroom. The walls were white marble and there were floor to ceiling oak wardrobes, already full with all clothes imaginable; Greek style dresses, orange CHB t-shirts, jeans, leggings and a green cap the I recognised as the same style Bianca had worn. I quickly ran over to that wardrobe and, under the guise of running my hand over the soft fabrics, shoved it in a drawer.

The entire right side of the room was taken up by a massive 4 poster bed. Larger than king sized, I doubt there is a size for it.

"Goddess sized" Nico said. I laughed, I had been thinking the exact same thing.

There were book shelves opposite the wardrobes, separated by a door.

Unthinkingly Nico and I both moved towards it. Nico opened the door answer came face to face with another split passage.

"I take left, you take right"

I tuned left into a marvellous bathroom, mirror, vanity, huge bath, shower.
