There's absolutely no point of detention, all it'll do is make the person in said detention pissed off, the detentionee sits there like: 'I asked what the fucking date was and then I sit down for a damn hour doing absolutely nothing!?'

If homework takes more then the maximum time you can be in detention for then there's no point in doing it. You rather spend an hour relaxing in a quiet room then work your sorry little ass of doing an all nighter.

If you get a detention for not doing work you can fuck off because you're punishment for doing nothing is......Well doing more nothing. This is the most hypocritical, contradictory quote unquote punishment ever.

Getting late has many different outcomes as all schools have different rules but then if you have to sit in silence then what's the point if you came 30 seconds late? Sitting for even more then five minutes is dumb because you get punished for not being at school thus not doing work but in detention you usually can't do work.
