Anniversary

My eyes fluttered open as I stared at the blank ceiling. I had to stop myself from falling asleep a few times. I eventually turned over and saw the time. That's when it hit me, today's mine and Jace's two year anniversary

Wow.... That's so weird to think about. I've been dating Jace Norman for two years. If I'm being honest, I never thought we'd last this long. I always figured some other girl that was prettier than me would come along.

But that wouldn't happen because Jace loves me. Only me.

I realised that I'm the only one awake so I decided to go downstairs and make some pancakes. You know, cause I'm such an amazing girlfriend😊

I made the pancakes and set them all out on plates. It took me... 45 minutes. They're still sound asleep. I'll never understand how they can sleep in so late. I always want to start the day from the moment I wake up. I don't want to waste a second.

I figured that they may want seconds so I began to make more pancakes. I was making Jace's second pancake when I heard a storm of stomps coming down the stairs. Yup, that's the Norman family.

Riele: Good morning!

I said cheerily.

Glory&Xander: Pancakes!

They yelled rushing to the table. I couldn't help but giggle. They're both older than Jace but act younger than him.

Jace: What's this?

Jace asked smiling and walking over to me.

Riele: Well I woke up early and I was bored so I thought I'd make everyone breakfast.

I explained while flipping a pancake.

Jace: Happy anniversary Riele

Jace said smiling at me. I smiled back.

Riele: Happy anniversary Jace

He pecked my lips and sat down.

Mrs Norman: Oh Riele honey this is very sweet but you really didn't have to do this

Mrs Norman said to me. By this point she is like a mom to me but the last women that I called mom hurt me so badly... I just don't want to call anyone mom anymore.

Riele: It's no problem. I wanted to do it.

Glory: You got a good one Jace. Don't screw this up

Jace: Thanks Glory

He said sarcastically. She shrugged casually in response.

Xander: Hey Riele? You wouldn't happen to have-?

Riele: Yes Xander, I made seconds

I said already knowing what his question would be. It's been like 10 minutes and they've already finished... I'm not really surprised to be honest.

I gave everyone their seconds then went and sat down with them.

Jace: Hey where's your food?

Jace asked. That's when another thing hit. I made for all the Norman family... I didn't actually make anything for myself.

Riele: Um... I forgot my breakfast actually.

I laughed.

Mrs Norman: Oh, do you want us to make you something?

Mrs Norman offered.

Riele: No I'm fine thank you. I'll just take an apple.

I politely declined as I walked over to bowl of fruit on the counter and took an apple
