I stare deep into his dark blue eyes almost oblivious to the loud fireworks exploding in beautiful displays of purples, oranges, and greens. He slowly moves closer then.....BEEP BEEP BEEP.  Suddenly im awoken by my dreary alarm. Time to go to school and watch the love of my life, Romeo Castillo, slip slowly out of my grasp and into the grubby hands of that awful Sheryl Drew. I didn't always hate Sheryl, we used to be the best of friends, all three of us. We were the three musketeers! Well then jr. high hit and they started to date around with others outside of our small group yet our friendship never wavered. Then I made this horrible decition to confide in Sheryl my feelings for Romeo and now she never seems to stop flirting with him. It makes me sick to watch her hang all over him and he just lets her.  This has been going on for about a month now. Sheryl has always been able to attract any boys attention by flipping her dark brown hair and flashing that million dollar smile. She just makes me want to scream.

"CarryAnn! Get down here breakfast is ready!" I hear my older sister shout from up the stairs from our kitchen. I quickly dress in leggings, a short jean skirt, and a purple sweater, still smoothing my hair back into my signature style, half up in a ponytail and half still laying on my shoulders, as i walk down the stairs  skipping the last three steps as i jump down to the first floor almost slipping on the tile due to my fuzzy socks. Then i stop dead in my tracks as i see Romeo sitting at my table eating a piece of toast from the stack that has been set int the center of our small dinning table.

"What is up man! You should change you hair more often." Romeo said as he got up, walked over to me, and stretched out his hand so we could do our signature handshake ending it in a hug as he tends to do quite often now.

"Hey i never tell you to throw out one of your 12 pairs of shoes why does my hair being the same every day matter to you? And where is Sheryl?" I say walking over and leaning on the table grabbing a piece of toast.

"She said she wasn't feeling good so she texted us on the group chat to tell our teachers what's going on. Did you not check your phone?" I pull it out of my pocket finding that i had turned it off the night before due to being stuck in an obnoxious group chat.

"Guess it didn't." I said switching the power on. I glace toward the clock seeing it flash 7:12.

"We should probably get going." I said grabbing my bag from the bag hook we have sitting in the back corner of the kitchen. Romeo grabbed his bag too and we set out on our 20 minute walk to school. Normally i would put me earphones in as to not have to deal with Sheryl and her 'flirting'. Instead Romeo started a conversation.

"So..... I like your sweater." He said kicking rocks as we walk down the side walk.

"Thanks." I said. I could almost feel my face begining to turn a vibrant shade of scarlet.
