Blue walked down the large empty halls of the castle, passing by corridors that blurred at the edges of his vision. His eyes were only focused on one thing, the doors that lay at the end of the hall. He stopped in front of the doors that seemed to loom over him, making him feel very small. But he didn't care about some ominous doors, all Blue cared about was what lay beyond the doors. He stiffened at the touch of a hand resting on his shoulder. Blue looked over his shoulder to see his comrade, Green. His ocean blue eyes that usually shown with adventure we're now dark pools of sadness. Blue held Green's gaze, his own stormy blue eyes whirling with all kinds of emotion. He stared over Green's shoulder where his smaller comrade Red, and darker comrade Shadow stood. Red stared at Blue, sympathy and sadness clouding his usually bright cheerful eyes. Shadow just stared blankly out the window, staring up at the stormy sky that added to the gloomy atmosphere. Blue took a deep breath and let it out shakily before reaching out to the handle of one of the doors and pushing it open. The pungent smell of herbs and pulps enveloped the room, making Blue's mind feel light. He walked inside, ignoring the fuzzy feeling in his head. The door closed as Shadow was the last to enter the room. Blue's eyes glanced warily around the room before they fell onto a bed with a figure lieing in it. The figure looked small and frail, his small face illuminated by the gloomy light from the windows. Blue walked to the bed and sat in a chair next to it. He stared down at the boy, his heart lurching in grief. The small boy was Vio. His face was pale and bandaged at the top. His arms were thin and frail, as if he'd not used them in a long time. His eyes were closed but he looked restless. Even in the comma he didn't look at peace. Vio looked like he was fighting for every second. Blue could feel his heart breaking with grief. He couldn't bare to see his lover in such a horrible state. Blue gently took Vio's small delicate hand into his and held it close. "Oh my Violet... please wake up.." He croaked, his words heavy with emotion.

Vio's ear twitched at those words and his eyes slowly opened for the first time in months. "Blue...?" His voice was almost a whisper. So weak, so frail.

Blue's eyes widened and he leaned in close so Vio could be able to feel his presence. "Yes, I'm here my love." He said softly, gently pressing his forehead against Vio's.

Vio smiled weakly. "Hey... I'm glad... that you're here... With me..." He couldn't say his words all together. It sounded like it took a lot of his strength to speak just a few words.

Blue held his tears back and stayed strong for his weak lover. "Guess who else is here? Green, Red, and even Shadow. They all came to see you, my love." He gently nudged Vio's head so he could see his comrades.

Vio gazed at his comrades. "It's good to... see all of you..." His voice cracked with effort.

Green and the others came closer to Vio. "It's good to see you, Vio. We all miss you." Green said.

"It's so boring without you, Vio." Red added, trying to brighten the mood.

"Yeah... there's no one to scold Blue around..." Shadow said and glanced at the two lovers.

Blue pouted and looked back at Vio, his gaze softening. "I can't wait till you get better... princess Zelda said that as soon as you wake up, you'd start recovering." He said hopefully, gazing into Vio's eyes lovingly. Zelda was standing at the back of the room, watching sadly.

Vio smiled weakly. "Did she...? For the first time... my princess... I must say you are wrong..."

Blue blinked in confusion at his lover. "What do you mean, my love? The princess can't be wrong. She has to be right. You're going to get better just you wait." His voice raised a little, cracking slightly.

Vio shook his head slightly. "Blue look at me... I'm dying..." he croaked softly.

Blue's eyes turned round with grief. "No my love... don't say that... you'll get better I promise..." He said, a sob in his throat.

Vio sighs shakily. "Don't make empty promises, hun... it's okay... I won't have to suffer anymore..."

"But Vio you can't... you can't leave me all alone... please..." Blue pleaded, tears in his eyes. "I-i need you..."

Vio gently touched Blue's cheek. "It's okay... I'll still be here... living on in your hearts..."

Blue nuzzled against Vio's hand gently, enjoying it's comforting warmth.

"Please Vio, you can't say that." Green spoke suddenly.

"Yeah, you can't leave us." Red said, tears in his eyes.

Shadow said nothing, but his eyes were clouded with sadness.

Vio sighed shakily, his eyes fluttering a bit. "I-i don't have much time left..."

Blue's eyes widened and he thrusts his face gently into the crook of Vio's neck. "Please don't go." He sobbed.

Vio let his head rest on Blue's. "I-i love you... Blue... b-but I must go... Thank you... for giving me... such a happy life... my love..." his voice trailed away as he took his last breath and let his head fall limply on Blue's.

Blue pulled away and gently nudged Vio's head with his nose. "Vio...? V-Vio please... n-no... please... you can't be..." He sobbed and buried his face in Vio's cheek lovingly. "I-i love you..." He said and tears streamed down his face.

Green looked away as his tears fell. Red was already crying while Shadow let a few tears silently fall down his cheeks.

Blue let out a sob and held his now dead lover close. The world seemed to share Blue's grief as thunder cracked loudly in the sky, rain coming soon after. It was as if all of Hyrule had to suffer from Blue's sobbing cries. He'd never see his lover again. Never feel his warmth, hear his soft voice, see his calm smile, smell his sweet scent, nothing. It wasn't fair and it didn't seem right. The four Links would never be whole again now that one of them was forever gone.

AHHHH! So sad! I literally cried while writing this. But it'll get better! I have a really interesting story right here and I hope you enjoyed it.
