I bet no one even reads my story :P But for those who do, I'm sorry that I haven't updated. I actually have a notebook in which I write this story on but I get so carried away that I forget to actually post it on wattpad. Here's a long update - well long for me - just because I'm a horrible wattpadd writer :)

Oh & I type this directly from my notebook so I don't usually realize if there's any mistakes. Sorry. :P

I hope you guys don't get too bored with the story. It's actually coming out pretty nice. (In my head :P)

xoxo,

Jana

"Mom I'm home!" I cried out, shutting the front door behind me. There was no response. I searched for her in the kitchen but she was nowhere to be found. I was about to head towards my room but then I heard a muffled cry coming from her bedroom.

"Mom?" I called out, rushing to her room. I opened the door and was shocked at what I saw.

There was blood. Too much blood. It was revolting and made me sick to my stomach. Horrified, I spotted the source. My mother's lifeless body was slumped at the corner of the room. I reached out and tried to turn her over. I stifled my scream when I realized that the body wasn't my mother's. It was mine.

"Gotcha," a man whispered behind me.

I woke up with a start. Sweat poured through my pores. I breathed in deeply and let it out slowly. It was just a dream. It wasn't real. After a few minutes of trying to calm myself down, it finally worked.

Groaning, I pushed myself out of bed. Dread coursed through me as I realized what day it was. I quickly glanced at my alarm clock on my bedside table and was relieved to see that I had about two hours to get ready for school. Yawning, I quickly made my bed and headed towards the kitchen. Looking through the cabinets, I grabbed the first cereal box I saw and started eating it like chips. I trudged back to my  room, contemplating on what I should do next. The flat screen TV plastered on the wall in front of my bed was calling out to me. Since I had readied my stuff the night before, I plooped back down onto my bed and tried to find the remote. The sound of my cellphone ringing startled me.

I didn't even bother looking at the caller ID as I answered it. "Hello?"

"Aj?!" Judy yelled through the phone. I set the cereal box down on the bedside table and sat at a more comfortable position. This would take a while. Judy was the conversationalist type.

"Yeah?"

"Are you ready for school?!" she practically screeched. I toned down the volume.

"Judy...it's barely 5 am. School starts at 7:45."

"But still! You know what they say. The early bird catches the wom."

"Yeah but the second mouse gets the cheese..." I muttered, causing her to chuckle.

"Don't make me come there and get ya," she teased. Suddenly, an uneasy feeling caused me to shiver as I recalled my nightmare.

Judy and I made conversation for a bit until she practically demanded me to get ready for school. I glanced at the clock and it read 6:00 am. I went back downstairs to return the cereal then ran back up towards the bathroom for my shower. My, this was a workout.

After my shower, I rushed back to my room and changed. My first day of school outfit consisted of a simple white vneck, dark washed skinny jeans, black converese, and a black and white varsity jacket that  my former foster brother gave to me. I kept my hair down in its natural waves and applied a bit of eyeliner. Not bad, I thought as I looked myself over in the mirror. By instinct, I reached up and grabbed the heart necklace that was worn around my neck. It was my mothers and I always had this habit of wearing at least one of her jewelry.
