The Wolf and The Hunter

Chapter 5

The mechanical bow glints in the moonlight. Giggles emanated from a certain person's mouth. He was playing with his pet squirrel, oblivious to the approaching wolf beside him.

However, a broken twig brought his attention.

"Hide, and do not come out until I say so," Taehyung told his pet. He named the pet, Pip. Easy and simple to pronounce. Pip scurried into his pouch.

He put on his hunter's face on and aimed to where to sound came from. The wolf was already gone.

"She's a smart one," he whispered. He trudged forward, silently and swiftly. Another twig made him jump. It came from behind him.

He ducked, turned around and released the arrow. The arrow whistled past her left ear which caused her to whimper and run the other direction. The arrow embedded into a big tree.

The arrow was no ordinary arrow, however. It had a long rope attached to its back which leads back to a small container on the bow. He clicked on a small button on the side of the bow and the rope retracts itself, pulling him along the way.

After it was fully retracted, he pulled the arrow out of the tree and ran towards the wolf. The wolf was definitely faster. The gap between them got even larger as time went on.

Realising he did not have any chance of catching up, he slowed down to a stop.

Yuna, who thought they were still playing tag, kept running without looking back.

The moonlight shone on her from time to time through the thick trees. Her body changed with each passing.

A sudden change in height made her realise her transformation. She stopped running and inspected her own body. She loved being in human form. She would be able to do what most wolves cannot.

Dance.

She started to dance.

Following her own rhythm.

Her own song.

In her own world. Not caring about her surroundings. She used the trees as her own props. Dancing around them.

Sometimes imagining one as a person. She was elegant in every way. Except for her naked body of course. But she did not care. She was in her own world.

Taehyun was strolling along the forest floor. Following the steps left by the wolf.

He heard rustling a few metres in front of him. He started to crawl.

"Squeak, Squeak!" a sound came from his pouch.

"Shhh.... Quiet down,"

Yuna heard some squeaking noises in a nearby bush. She was sure that it was just a squirrel (which it was), thus she continued dancing.

Taehyun made sure that Pip was fully quiet and continued his way towards the other side of the bush. He slowly peered through an opening.

What he saw made his jaws drop.

A tall, naked girl was dancing in the moonlight.

"So pretty...." he thought. He kept on watching her. Not at her private parts or anything, but her body in general.

The way she sways her hips.

Moves her hands.

Coordinates her legs.

She was like the goddess of elegance.

An annoyed squirrel started to move. Pip sneakily got out of his pouch and saw his master's baffled face. He looked at what he was baffled about.

A girl. A NAKED girl.

This infuriated Pip. He climbed on top of Taehyung's head in an attempt to pull him back to reality. He aimed his backdoor towards his master's face from atop.

He focused hard on it.

Finally, the air was out.

Taehyung, oblivious to what Pip did, sniffed in some bad odour. That odour made him whimper which was heard by Yuna.

Curious as to what it was, she slowly walked towards the bush.

Taehyung was busy arguing with Pip to notice her coming closer.

"What the hell are you doing?!"

"Squeak-Sque-Squeak!"

"I was not! I was just.... observing!"

"Who is there!?" she shouted.

"Damn it! Look at what you've done!"

"I know you're there! Come out!"

He found no way out. Thus, he raised his hands and stood out of the bush. He unconsciously looked at the ground to avoid staring at her naked body as it would have led him to be slapped.

"What were you doing in there?"

"I was searching for a wolf,"

"A wolf? No wolf passed here. Now search somewhere else,"

"Wait!" she waited.

"Well?"

"Oh," he started to unbuttoned his vest.

"Hey! What do you think you're doing!" he reached out for her hand and gave her his vest.

"Cover up. Most guys wouldn't do what I did," she felt her face redden.

Yuna turned away and hastily wore his vest. She heard his footsteps, leaving her. She did not want to be alone again. She hated being alone.

"W-wait!" she yelled. Taehyung, confused, stopped walking and turned around.

He stared into her eyes that were being filled with tears.

"Don't leave me alone," she muttered as she took a step towards him.

"What?" she muttered again, taking another step towards him.

Taehyung was getting annoyed at her sudden muttering and decided walk away.

"Please don't leave me!" she finally yelled. Her voice resonated inside Taehyung's head who was now standing idly a few metres in front of her.

"Should I bring her?"

"I-I don't to be alone. Don't leave me," she begged. He turned his head just in time to see tears rolling across her cheeks.

He raised his hand and gestured her to follow. She quickly wiped her tears and ran beside him. She sneakily grabbed one of his arms and hugged it tightly.

"Hey! What do you think you're doing?!"

"My way of saying thanks. I know you wanted me to do it too," she poked her tongue out. Dumbfounded as to how she knew, he stared at the forest floor and walked home.

The journey home was quite, memorable for him. So to say.
