I hit snooze button on my alarm. The second beep was always slightly shorter that the other ones,

Gosh, I thought, was it 6 am already? It felt like I had only slept a few minutes, yet in reality, it had been hours. It had been one of those nights when you slept so soundly, that you barely even noticed you had slept at all. No dreams, no waking up to take off the blanket because it was too hot with it on, absolutely nothing.

I grabbed my phone and clicked on the first contact.

It rang about three times before he answered. Well, he didn't exactly say anything, he just kinda groaned.

"Hey, you ready?" I asked him, over the phone. 'Him' being Arthur, the skinny (yet a tab bit muscular), light skined, dark haired, dark eyed boy. He was also my best friend. He had been for years.

He groaned again, this time, it was a bit more audiable.

Over the phone, I could hear the bed sheets ruffling.

"Uurrrrrgggghhhhhh, it's so early! Why must you do this to me, Sol? What did I ever do to you?"

"You told me to wake you up, remember! Yesterday? Over the phone?" I told him, as I got out of bed.

"Yeah, yeah I know." He said. I heard him grunt and yawn a little. His yawn made me yawn.

"Common, it's time for swimming practice!" I said.

"Okay. I'll meet you there" he answerd.

" 'Kay. See ya later sleepy head!" And with that, I hung up the phone.

I got out of bed and took a quick shower. I knew it was useless, since I was going to a pool afterwards, but what can I say? Its an old habit.

I put some shorts over my bathing suit and grabbed my bag. I checked to see if my homework was there (it was), and I grabbed my bag. I tiptoed past my moms room. I didn't want to wake her, since she works the late shifts at the animal clinic.

I made it out of the house and jogged my way to school. I had a car, of course, but jogging to school was my warm up for the practices.

It took me about half an hour slow jogging to actually get to where I needed to be, my school gymnasium. I still had about half an hour for practices to start, so I jogged around the field for an extra 15 minutes.

Tired, I made my way inside to the swimming pool area of the huge gym. I stretched a bit and sat down on one of the bleachers. I put my bag aside, and I waited for Arthur.
