I apologize in advance for how bumpy my handwriting in this entry is going to be. The thing is, I'm actually standing in the back of a moving train. Did I voluntarily choose to stand in the back of this moving train? Of course not. But needless to say, this morning hasn't been too kind to me.
According to the conductor on the train, I must've been "a little too late" to the station this morning. And he wouldn't be wrong there––I made it to the platform just as the doors were closing, which prompted immense hysteria and recklessness on my part to get inside. What I wasn't told, however, was that they actually re-sold my seat to someone else when they thought I wasn't going to show up.
That would've been some really good information to have known before I panicked and ran after a moving train, leaping onto it like a total maniac. By the time I figured out I didn't have a seat anymore, we were already past the station. No going back now.
So there I was, panting and wheezing and waving my ticket in the conductor's face, and all he could do was shrug and say, "You must've been a little too late, I guess. We have nowhere to put you. But you're welcome to stand if you'd like."
And now I'm standing in the back of the car, getting hit by two different bathroom doors as passengers lucky enough to have seats come and go to relieve themselves. It's been around three or so hours since I got on, and honestly, I'm beginning to contemplate monopolizing one bathroom just so I don't have to be on my feet anymore.
Oh hey, one moment.

Author's Note:
If you've read any of my books, you probably know that I make elaborate, earnest attempts at capturing the stress and eeriness that come from psychological thrillers. I'm looking forward to showing you my most recent attempt in this story for the film A Cure For Wellness. Being asked by 20th Century Fox to write this story was truly unbelievable, and I cannot wait for you to see what I've come up with.
