Dean pushes a demon out of his way before taking out his angel blade and stabbing it. He spins around and stabs another demon before sliding across the pavement, grabbing his demon blade that he had dropped earlier, dodging a demon trying to grab him. Dean turns his torso to face the demon that had just tried to kill him, then he pierces him through the gut. He stands up and wipes the sweat and blood off of his forehead. A scream pierces through the night. "Sammy." Dean whispers and runs off towards the scream.

He turns down an alleyway and sees Sam lying on the cold hard pavement, his hands are clutching his stomach. They are bloody. Dean walks over to Sam and crouches down next to him. Sam looks up at him, his eyes bloodshot, he winces.
"Hey." Dean says softly, tears threatening to fall
"Hey Dean." Sam says weakly, pain in his voice.
"Let me see." Dean says glancing down at Sam's hands, still clutching his stomach. Sam nods, wincing, then slowly moves his hands away from his stomach. Dean examines the wound, it is jagged and deep, white stuff is leaking out of it. It had pierced his liver, the acid was now leaking into his stomach. He is going to die and there was nothing he could do.

"Hey, you're going to be fine. It's not that bad." Dean lies.
"Don't lie. It's bad." Sam says, letting out a nervous laugh. Dean nods looking at his brother. He lifts up his brother's head and awkwardly pulls the large man onto him, covering the wound with his one hand applying pressure, his other cradling his head. He looked down at his little brother and brushes the hair out of his face.
"I'm sorry Sammy." he whispers. Sam nods his eyes pulling closed. He is still breathing, but barely. Dean puts his forehead to his brothers, then he softly begins to sing. "Hey Jude, don't make it bad. Take a sad song and make it better." he stops, looking up at the night sky, it seemed so peaceful. He can still hear fighting in the distance. His vision becomes blotchy, his eyes filling with tears. He looks back down at his brother and smiles. He picks the singing back up. "Remember to let her into her heart. Then you can start to make it better." he then hums the rest of the song, stroking his brother's hair. Sam was now stiff in his brother's arms. Dean let the tears fall. In between his sobs he whispers. "Good night Sammy."

2 years later

Mary had closed the gates of Hell, killing herself In the process. That night Dean lost two people, Sam and his mom. Crowley was still around, he was the one his mom had cured in order to close the gates of Hell. Cas still lived on earth. The angles were in heaven, Lucifer locked away in Hell. The world was peaceful. Dean was now a mechanic who owns his own shop. He lived in small house in Kansas with Cas. Crowley ran a small business in town, and Cas worked at a Coffee shop.

Today was Sam and Mary's two year anniversary of their deaths. Dean leaves work early that day to go to the graveyard. He hops in baby and begins driving. He looks over at the empty passenger seat where Sam used to sit and smiles to himself, remembering all the good times.

Once he gets to the the graveyard he walks over to their tombstones and lays a flower down on each of their graves. "I love you both. I miss you." He sits there for half an hour remembering them. He looks around the graveyard, he remembers how he and Sammy used to dig up a lot of graves. He smiles to himself. He feels a hand on his shoulder, he turns to see Cas smiling.
"Let's go." Cas says, Dean nods and follows him to the Impala. He climbs in, Cas riding shotgun. They drive home. Dean misses Sam a lot but he'll wait, he'll see him in Heaven, along with his mother. He turns to Cas.
"Music?" he asks. Cas nods.
"Yes, that would be appreciated." Dean smirks and turns on the radio, Carry on My Wayward Son begins to play. Dean smiles as he drives down the road.
