At the young age of about 13, Jeff was always known to be a strange boy. At school, at home... almost everywhere he went. People looked at him differently, almost as if they could sense his barbarousness, but they never understood it OR him, for that matter. He was a shut-in. An introvert.
He would only open up to his brother, Liu, since he was the only person Jeff found he was able to relate to.
They both were bullied by the three "tough guys" of their school; Randy, Keith, and Troy. Almost everyone was, but Jeff and Liu, distinctly, for some odd reason. Each day, the three boys would take a bit of everyone's lunch money to use for themselves. They carried small pocket knives around, holding them as threats against all of their peers who dared to tell a teacher or staff member of the school about what they did to ruin their reputation.
Deep inside, Jeff had always had built-up rage. Every little incident with the bullies only provoked this rage, sending it to it's highest levels, yet he kept his feelings locked away, trying to be cheerful for his only brother. Until...
"Hey Jeff, where's my lunch money at today?" Randy asked tauntingly, approaching Jeff and Liu with Keith and Troy at his side one gloomy evening.
Liu spun around, looking at them as his eyebrow twitched upwards, "why would we give you our lunch money," he asked, trying to sound confident. "So you can go spend it on - drugs or something?"
"I didn't ask you, shithead," Randy spat at Liu's feet, pushing Troy towards him. "Take care of him."
Jeff was still turned away from them all, breathing heavily as his heart started to race, he clenched his fist.
"Is there a problem?" Asked Randy as he stepped towards Jeff, smirking. Jeff stood still for a moment, waiting for Randy to say something ignorant, or for Troy to start throwing hands at his brother. But Troy watched Jeff, and so did Randy as he pursed his lips, making them turn a bit pale.
"Jeff, let's go," Liu snapped between his teeth. Jeff turned his head towards him and shot him a sadistic smile. "Hell no." Jeff turned quickly and grabbed Randy by the wrist, twisting it out of place.
Randy fell to the ground, groaning in pain as he held his wrist to his chest, and Jeff chuckled as he watched him.
The other boys stared down in shock at Randy, but Jeff didn't stop there. He reached down to the knife hidden in Randy's pocket and swiped it out, swinging it at Troy, cutting a large gash on his outer thigh as the knife cut into his pants. Liu was helpless at the sight, along with Keith. They watched in horror.
Until Jeff turned to face Keith.
