Patrick's POV

Patrick was on his evening run as usual, just thinking about the parts he's auditioned for lately and how he was so tired of not getting any of them. If he didn't get something soon he was thinking about giving up on acting all together. Patrick has always had a strong love for racing. If he didn't get a part soon he was going to go to racing full time. The thought of Patrick racing full time scared his wife Jillian, but Patrick was tired of being rejected and not being able to support his family. He just needed to find something to do that he enjoyed doing, as much as acting that would pay. Racing was his hobby but he could see himself doing it full time, if he really had to. Sure he loved spending time with his daughter but Patrick just wanted to be useful. He felt hopeless.

As Patrick was lost in thought he wasn't looking where he was going and slammed into someone.

Ellen's POV

Ellen was going on her evening walk. She was thinking about the day she had. She got an offer to be the leading lady in a new ABC medical drama. She happily took the part as she loved the opportunity and the fact that they wanted her for this role was enough to make her say yes. She was very excited and couldn't wait to start production. As Ellen was thinking about her day her phone buzzed in her pocket. She quickly pulled it out, but before she could read the message she slammed into someone. Her phone being thrown form her hands to the ground.

Patrick's POV

Patrick was startled 'I'm so sorry' Patrick said kneeling down to pick up the phone that he had just knocked out of the person's hands.

A soft gentle hand met his as he reached for the phone. He looked up only to see a beautiful woman. Her grey, green eyes staring into his. A smile spread across both of their faces. Hers sweet, but Patrick's more amazed.

"It's ok I need to be more careful" the woman said. But Patrick just kept starring. He was lost in her eyes. Then he heard a sound that was music to his ears. The woman laughed more like giggled. But it was so precious and sweet and it sent chills down Patrick's spine.

"Are you ok?" She asked him as she noticed he was starting, this was only a few seconds in real time. But Patrick thought he had been staring at her for an eternity. She was so beautiful.

Patrick cleared his throat 'Yeah...I'm sorry I was... um not looking where I was going. I guess I need to be more careful.' He said as they both stood up from their crouched positions. Patrick then handed her phone to her. "Thanks" the woman said with a smile pushing some of her honey brown hair out of her face. 'This woman is gorgeous' Patrick thought.

Ellen's POV

"I'm so sorry" Ellen heard a voice say. She knelt down to pick up her phone but someone beat her to it. She felt a soft but strong hand graze against hers. It sent chills running through her arm. She needed to say something. 'It's ok I need to be more careful' Ellen said trying not to notice the smiles that were now plastered across both of their faces. His eyes are so blue she thought. Even in the darkness his eyes had a sparkle. Then she giggled because all they had been doing is staring at each other. When she giggled his eyes got even brighter if that's even possible. 'Are you ok?' She asked him. She knew he was staring at her but she didn't care. She kind of liked the attention.

"Yeah...I'm sorry I was... um not looking where I was going. I guess I need to be more careful." He said as they both stood up.

His voice was soft and had a sadness to it. He handed Ellen her phone. 'Thanks' she said with a smile. Pushing some of her hair out of her face. He just kept staring at her with a smile on his face. Ellen loved his smile. 'It was perfect' she thought.

'Well I better get going' She said realizing they had been standing there for about 2 minutes just staring at each other.

"Yeah..ok" He said in response, with a little bit of sass, but deep down Ellen could tell that he didn't want to go where ever he was headed.

'Bye' Ellen said looking at him then at the ground, and then at him again, trying to hide her grin.

"Bye" He said.

AN: Thanks for reading my first chapter. This is my first story on Wattpad and I can't wait to continue writing. I am hoping to update at least once a week, but if I can I will do more. Thanks again for reading, and I would love feedback. (And don't worry the next chapter will hopefully be longer.) -Sav
